Hahaha! Oh, civilized countries! Not those countries full of those wretched black people! Coming from the "progressive." That was a good one, thanks for the laugh.

Oh, and note that you're basically saying that Somalians and Congolese aren't human, and aren't expected to be provided with basic human rights.

So you are claiming that Canada and the UK, both capitalist countries, ars socialist simply because they have single payer healthcare?

Good Lord. This is what passes for reading comprehension these days? Nothing you have posted here remotely relates to what I said, but you just couldn't pass up the opportunity to play the race card.

The bottom line is that you are perfectly happy having healthcare on par with failing third world countries, and you don't believe the U.S. is capable of anything better. You have a very low opinion of your own country's capabilities.

I, on the other hand, think we should be striving to emulate other first world countries who manage to take care of their citizens, and not nations that are failing to do so. I strive to move us up, while you gleefully race to the bottom.

Now make sure your response includes something about black people. It has nothing to do with this conversation, but I'm sure you'll find a way to work it in anyway.

Um, EMTLA only guarantess stabilization.

You can't use an ER to get long term cancer care....

Don't try to get smart, you wrote what you wrote and you know it. You said that we should only be compared to "civilized" countries, not African ones. The implication being that those countries are inferior. So you consider Africans to be inferior, I suppose?

How can government-provided health care be a basic human right if most nations cannot provide that for their citizens? Or is it only a basic human right for "civilized" people?

Jude meant first world countries, and last I checked there are people of all ethnicities living in several first world countries. There are black people in Canada, the UK and France.

Strawman fails

It was you, fat lou, who brought up Somalia and the Congo. I responded using those two nations since YOU named them to begin with. I guess that makes you the racist, huh?

Now don't try to deny it, we all see what you wrote right here in this thread.

Hahahaha. Nice attempt at deflection. But all right, I get ya: healthcare is a basic human right. But only for "civilized" people. Well okay, then. Good to know.
