You explained elsewhere? What you did is explain that Canada raises taxes to pay for it.....hence.....liberal logic.....it's not going to cost anyone anything.

The Democrats need a plan and a candidate to deliver it.They don't seem to have either at the moment.
Simple. They want to bring everyone down to the same level. Too successful? Confiscate whatever neccessary and spread it around.
Everyone should be equally unhappy.

Sounds like Communism, doesn't it ?

And if you can follow along.....try.....that's what we have now. But instead of subsidizing the cost of premiums for low-income and making middle pay inflated prices to make up the difference, we will exempt the low-income from the tax hike and make middle pay up the buttocks (I'm just sticking with your classy imagery) to make up the difference.

It is no different than what Obamacare stuck us with.
Uh, no. That's not how it works in Canada. Again, the only way to avoid paying a VAT is to never buy anything ever. So everyone pays VAT, and as far as income tax, the wealthy in Canada pay the bulk of it, not the middle class. You don't know what you're talking about

So you'd go to a government medical facility and take a number to be seen by a government doctor?

Would we all have government-provided matching uniforms? Sounds like an episode of an old Twilight Zone.

Just trying to get a picture of your world.

Exactly! Anyone remember that commercial that ran during a presidential election a couple of cycles ago, where they had an old guy from a socialist country say "socialism doesn't make poor people middle class, it makes middle class people poor."

It's the dream of equality that the Dems have.

The perfect example is Obamacare. I now, for the first time in my life, am skipping treatments and exams because I can't afford them under Obamacare, while low-income people are going for the treatments and exams they now can afford, because of Obamacare.

Example: I had been having a screening to monitor an issue I have every three months, as the doctor recommended, but now I am having it every six months because it's so expensive. At the same time, the low-income in the waiting room are happy because they are getting the screening every three months (free), instead of having to stretch it out to every six months, as they had previously.

Its still very early, but I'd guess they will put healthcare first. If recession hits, and there is a good chance it will, then that will obviously be on the table too. More affordable college education is probably on the list too, as is restoring the American image, and stopping trade wars. Oh, and legalizing pot.

Of course these should be goals of both parties (except for pot), but since GOP failed to deliver, the Dems will seize them. Or perhaps Trump will be challenged from GOP too, in which case these items will likely be on his/her list.

There's the rub. The middle-class wouldn't pay their fair share.

The UK NHS uses government doctors. Canada's Medicare uses private doctors with private practices.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about either
