Good idea, let the supporters of sanctuary cities pay for them. The only problem is that once dropped off in, say SanFran you can't KEEP them in SanFran... well unless you also quarantined all sanctuary cities to seal them off from the rest of the country.

I am reminded of when a friend purchased 100 young quail, to release on his rural property. He thought it would be nice to walk about the property and occasionally see or hear quail.
When he released said 100, they 'scattered like quail', never to be seen again.
So, those that think that busing 'immigrant detainees' to a sanctuary city is a good idea, it is not like these people will have any ties or reason to remain in that city. If they have relatives elsewhere, there they will go, with no one the wiser.

I’m a native San Franciscan myself and I support this. Why? Because cities like San Francisco support illegal immigrants to the extent of offering them special protections at the peril of its good legal citizens. That’s just wrong. There’s a slow re-education process occurring in California (and much of the US) to dull any dissenting residents’ opposition to illegals. I see it and resent it and I am not alone. We’re being bullied into acceptance and I for one won’t have it. Cities like SF can take them all in and crumble in the process for all I care any longer. They reap what they sow.
There are many angles here and it's not as cut and dried as everyone likes to make it.
Local LEOs are not tasked, trained or funded to enforce Federal immigration laws.
Also, there is the very real problem that illegals here will NOT report serious violent crimes for fear of getting caught up with LEOs and being deported. Which quickly becomes a local safety issue - the raison d'etre for local policing.
