The anti American sentiment and hatred of our flag is really strong on this thread by a few posters . Some of which are native citizens no doubt which is even scarier than people who came here and yet hate our way of life and our flag. This is what Democrats have become and liberals, progressives, etc., whatever the term of the hour is. Really doesn’t matter as the goal is the same: to destroy America, take our rights away, make us conform to 3rd world ways of life, make the abnormal be normal or jam it down our throats to make it so, destroying our landmarks even though they are part of history, etc. No other country would allow these things to happen.
I am about the furthest thing from a Democrat/liberal/progressive as you can possibly get, and I laugh at people who venerate a piece of cloth. Why?
Because when you venerate a sky cloth you are pledging submission to the State. You are pledging submission to crooks (politicians) and robbery (taxes).
Trump worships our American flag, that’s why some people are triggered and offended . It also has TDS inducing red fabric (MAGA hat color) which magnifies the disease in some folks.
Trump, like all socialists, worships the State and all its symbols.

It’s not PEOPLE screaming, it’s democrats doing this. No Republican or conservative leaning imdependent would think like this. Democrats need to be exposed — journalists need to stop protecting them with not naming them.
Democrats have now made the words “patriotic” “nationalism” our anthem, our flag, our pledge of allegiance, our borders, our laws, our sovereignty as dirty scary concepts. They need to be EXPOSED for this.
No need for exposure. They’re doing it right out in the open. They need to be punished for it by losing elections.
Unbelievable. One triggered complainer said he was dining with his wife and saw "several parents and small children scatter," and that there was "like a little panic going on." Oh, and he was "like what's happening?"
All this drama because a few police cars showed up with a stars and stripes design, which isn't even a flag. I guess that's a microaggression.
The biggest joke is that they're reconsidering--which, in California means Buh-bye, if certain demographics are offended.
Of course they are! They always back down to these nutcases instead of telling them to just shut up already. If government officials, politicians, media, college administrators, and the rest would just tell them to get over themselves and not give in to their demands, they would go away. Stop apologizing and listening to their ridiculous demands, and I guarantee they’ll grow up or shut up. Treat them like the tantrum throwing children they are.

I was born here, my dad was in the military. I lived in different parts of the country. I guess I lean more liberal, more left of center. But I do like some conservative ideologies so I don't really like to claim a party. But my views are more left than right.
I think the idea comes from how American's can conduct themselves sometimes and we tend to think we're the greatest country ever. And not saying we're not great, I love it here. But I feel like our arrogance comes from believing we're better than everyone else.
Also feel like the flag has been a bit commercialized, or overall, America has been commercialized, so it's harder to see the flag in a serious light.
You appear as far left and you can get. As in a flag burning type. Your "feelings" have more to do with what's in your head then everyone else. There's more than 3 million of us and we aren't all the same.
The US helps more Countries, spends more in aid than any other in the world. Call that arrogant if you want.

Please — no one here is advocating the veneration/worship of a piece of cloth.
Republicans and conservatives choose to honor and respect the flag for what it symbolizes.
Many heroic people have died for the freedoms, stability, progress, and equalities we experience today.
If you don’t choose to respect or honor it as a symbol, that’s fine, but please —- Our flag does NOT symbolize honoring crooks or statism......
imagine being an immigrant or visitor in another country and being “offended” by their flag

A decision to affix an American flag graphic to the side of freshly painted Laguna Beach police cars is dividing residents who are alternately praising the image as patriotic or panning it as too aggressive.
“People are screaming that the American flag on a police car is somehow or another … hurting people’s feelings who might be immigrants or visitors,” said Councilman Peter Blake. “People are actually ridiculous enough to bring up comments about our cop cars having American flags on them.”
You would think people had better things to do than complain about such nonsense.
I bet if it had been one of those gay rghts rainbow flafgs it would have been a cause for celebration.
Pretty sure no military uniform has a rainbow flag on it. Or law enforcement.
