I like one of the comments from the article, what does the NAACP think about this incident.

I've used the term before, even on this forum. But I've done it in 'softer' tone.

For example, instead of saying "colored kids" or "colored people," I would state, "people of color."

A day after igniting an already tense school board meeting by using an outdated racial term, Trustee Danielle Ford was not available for interviews.

Ford spending the day at a previously scheduled school board retreat just hours after some of those same board members had to let her know her use of the term was inappropriate.

Good news for white parents and grand parents who were punished for the N word. Queen "look at me hair" says the N words now ok and coloreds the new N word. Hahahaha punish white children for saying colored. What if they colored their hair or nails. Hahahaha Whats next, poo poo face because poo poo is black or brown

question: why is ‘colored people’ horrific and offensive, yet ‘people of color’ is perfectly acceptable?

Why is it horrific when people refer to themselves as colors. Black people, brown people, white people.

As a caucasian American, I am highly offended by the use of the term "colored people" to describe non-caucasian people. How dare they insinuate that I am colorless! I am offended and demand an immediate apology and sensitivity training classes for the offenders.

I can't keep up with these outrages and what is acceptable and what will potentially destroy your life if the SJW's decide to come down on you.

We can't call a stranger him or her because they might be transgendered. Now we can't call black people "coloured" because that is now a bad word. What is next? What do we call people? Can we call them people? What happens if someone in the group we labelled as "people" identifies as a hampster and they get triggered?

I think it might be best to avoid all human contact so no one can be offended..
