The powerful elites? You mean the ones who will still have access to safe abortions even if it is illegal for everyone else?
No, I mean the ones that won't abort their babies, because that child may one day grow up to rule the world.

One of these days people will be looking at themselves in the mirror, only to realize that evil is looking back at them.

Talking about people who kill being evil in an abortion thread, is an oxymoron.

Imagine if Ghandi had been aborted.

Imagine if Martin Luther King Jr had been aborted.

Imagine if Albert Einstein had been aborted.

Who needs them when you can give women their right to kill their babies before birth and it accomplishes the same task?

Darwinism ... Those who can solve a problem and those who can't.

So you quite strongly believe a law must be passed requiring all pregnant women to give birth? Failure to do so would result in murder charges. If convicted, the woman would be subject to life in prison or death.

What if I was aborted? But I believe a lot of people who want abortion banned wish I was aborted. They resent me quite a bit, because I don't agree with them. But that's the kind of sorry character they have and is a big reason why I have so little respect for them and their crass hypocrisy:

"We have anti-choice women in for abortions all the time. Many of them are just naive and ignorant until they find themselves with an unwanted pregnancy. Many of them are not malicious. They just haven't given it the proper amount of thought until it completely affects them. They can be judgmental about their friends, family, and other women. Then suddenly they become pregnant. Suddenly they see the truth. That it should only be their own choice. Unfortunately, many also think that somehow they are different than everyone else and they deserve to have an abortion, while no one else does." (Physician, Washington State) Excerpted from: THE PRO-CHOICE ACTION NETWORK

While I don't like such women above, at least I'm doing them a favor for being in support of pro-choice regulations, so these women can have a clean, safe and legal place to go to when they want it.

Totally agree! It’s one thing to do it but to brag about it just makes me nauseous.

The abortion debate really comes down to "personhood".

Is a fetus a person? If they are a person then they have rights, just like everyone else. And one of those rights, is life.

This constant insistence by the left that that the debate over abortion is only about control, and so if government can make abortion illegal, then it would have the power to force women to have abortions against their will, is a complete perversion of reality.

It is impossible to go from "unborn babies are people and ought to be protected by law", to "women should be forced to abort their babies".

It is precisely those in favor of abortion who are the eugenicists. They are the ones who place society above individuals. And the motto of every abortionist is exactly the same as the socialists, "The greatest good for the greatest number."

Their presupposition is either that the mother's life is more-important than the fetus' life, that both the mother and child would actually be better-off if the baby was aborted(in the extreme case that the pregnancy could kill her and/or the baby), or that society is better off if unwanted or unhealthy children are aborted.

The first is evil. The third is less evil but still an evil. The second is the only basis on which abortion can be morally-justified.

And let me add, this notion that liberals are opposed to control is utterly ridiculous. Leftists are not only tyrants, they are moral-tyrants. They have no problem whatsoever with using government to enforce their version of morality. They merely call it "justice" and shove it down everyone's throats.

Without the fetus human life can't continue.
At some point the life of the fetus has to be in alignment with the rights of the many or the human experiment is over. If the idea is for humans to live a life of equal rights, and the fetus is necessary for life, there is no justification to deny a essential component, the fetus, equal rights.
If there is to be exceptions they should be rare and of extreme circumstances, well defined, as a compromise.

No, I don't. But it is what it is ...

When humanity begins to make smarter choices ... that will put the abortion in the null column.

Abortion is control just as war is control of the population numbers. There are specific people that will choose abortion, just as there are specific people who will fight for their countries.

Wealthy people don't join the Army, they join the yacht club.
Wealthy people don't abort their babies, they need the heirs.

Abortion is there for all the other people who can't figure it out and through that control, less resources are needed, so the wealthy to stay wealthy as there is more for them. There is also, one less thing that is likely to happen given the odds numbers and that is a child born, that can actually solve problems, playing on their intellect. (biblical: do not touch the wine and/or as far back as the passover)

Darwinism ...

As for a population control goes:

Fertility Rate

"The population of a society does not increase when every woman is replaced on average by two children."

Now, we (governments needing tax money from their enslaved, citizens) are in a bit of a conundrum ... and abortion laws will be looked at, once again. Governments all around the world are feeling it. So they are all looking at their abortion laws and their immigrant laws. Russia for one.

"More troubling is the widespread suspicion that this decree is another attempt at Soviet-style population manipulation. In 1936, Stalin banned abortion to stimulate the birth rate. In a widely resented decree that was dropped after his death, Stalin made it clear that the nation's couples should produce workers and soldiers as vigorously as new Soviet industries were turning out trucks and steel beams."

Morally --- killing is killing, I don't care how you slice it up and try to feed it in lesser degrees as morally just. No appreciation for life --- it is what it is.
