Suppose he knew the FBI Director was corrupt somehow(i.e. a reason you would deem a good reason) should he not fire him because of an ongoing investigation?

The fact is nothing was obstructed by firing Comey.

Default Fake news? Not according to the Mueller report

Quote:
Donald Trump and his team love to deride unfavorable stories as "fake news," but it's clear from Robert Mueller's report that the special counsel isn't buying it.

While there are a few exceptions, Mueller's investigation repeatedly supports news reporting that was done on the Russia probe over the last two years and details several instances where the president and his team sought to mislead the public.

As if we didn't know that the "FAKE NEWS" meme was Trump's favorite talking point. Every grifter has their favorite line of BS and Trump milked this one. Witch Hunt and Fake News memes have bit the dust.

I will give Trump credit for one thing, he is one of the country's most prolific sources of Fake News!

fire...isn't really the right word

Those are appointments made by the president...
...the president has the authority to "replace" them at any time, for any reason..and appoint someone else

Just like all the presidents did before Trump...Obama appointed Comey to replace Mueller...etc etc

...which conveniently put Comey in charge of investigating the Obama administration and Hillary

Indeed.

Watergate went on for years. Nixon and his minions carried on about it being a "witch hunt" and how unfair the media was. Several went to prison.

Nixon claimed that if he did it, it wasn't illegal because he was POTUS. ...

Nixon also claimed that the edited tapes were good enough for the House Judiciary Committee. The Supreme Court disagreed.

It wasn't until the Supreme Court settled the edited tape business that things got serious.

Who knows when things will get serious this time around, but given the tap dancing going on around the Special Counsel report, and the fact that we've not seen hide nor hair of Mueller, it is likely that it will have something to do with the complete report rather than the edited version.

If the redacted version of the Mueller report has revealed all of this, wouldn't we have a field day with the full report...OMG

What gets me about all this is the fact that Trump never TRULY was interviewed. Nor did sit and write down his side of the story, his lawyer did it for him. That right there let’s you know Trump was much more involved with Russia then he admits. Muller would of pressured him and Trump and his lawyers know it, so do Trumps supporters Which is why they just flap their gums in the wind and deflect.
