Really?
REALLY?
You expect ANYONE to believe that?

And the MILITARY is the biggest spending source. Why didn't you list THAT? We spend more on the military than the rest of the world COMBINED. How much sense does THAT make?

Ken
"And the MILITARY is the biggest spending source."

Military spending is IN the Constitution the others are NOT!

Why didn't you mention that.

What should we cut?

Aside from that, if you are on SS or Medicare, you are not really "living within your means" - you are on the government dole - like the programs you complained about.

And finally, the government is not EVER in your position (ie "retired"). It ALWAYS has means of raising revenue and ALWAYS has demand for that revenue. If the government is short on money, it can either cut costs OR raise revenue (or BOTH). It's NEVER retired. It's forever YOU back in your "working days". Don't tell me you didn't look to increase your revenue when you were short on cash. THAT just didn't happen.

Ken
"Do you get Social Security?
Medicare?"

"Ignorance is bliss" as they say.

Your questions is one reason why we can't have HONEST discussions on issues.

"Aside from that, if you are on SS or Medicare, you are not really "living within your means" - you are on the government dole"

And where do you think the gov't GETS its money from? the WORKING TAX PAYEES is WHERE!

You don't GET Social Security. You pay 15% of your earnings INTO Social Security just like a bank savings account and at 62 can start drawing out the MONEY YOU PUT IN.

"Medicare?", AGAIN you don't GET Medicare. You PAY into it.

He is already living on an early retirement pension from his govt employer - paid for by him AND the taxpayers he worked for. So, no different than FICA - which is paid for by employee/employer contributions to SS except his is really 50% taxpayer funded - whereas SS today can funded by worker and both private and public employers.
"Never does one get early retirement benefits in a non-govt position."

You do NOT know what you are talking about!

Most "large" companies pay retirement based on years of service and some include age.

Neither of the investigation with Reno NOR Holder included CLASSIFIED material.

Beside Holder was PROTECTED by obama declaring "Executive Privilege" for his Fast and Furious program, which by the way got a Border Agent KILLED with 1 of the rifles, so Congress got very LITTLE from Holder

Presidential Appointees can be fired for ANYTHING or NOTHING. Even Comey admitted that.

I am SURE you "remember" EVEN THE DEMS WERE CALLING FOR COMEY TO BE FIRED! Then again, probably NOT!

Civics 101!

The president as Chief Executive Office has the FINAL decision and DECIDES what investigations can and CANOE be done.

Again, Civics 101

Now, per WaPo today, we have Rosenstein making nice w/Trump a few months ago and telling him "he will be able to land the plane" implying no harm to Trump. Same thing Barr repeated at the hearing. So, they got their stories straight that's for sure, down to the exact words.

The "no conspiracy" does not pass the smell test - at all. Maybe Mueller thought Congress taking up the obstruction issue would be enough and he preferred not to start a firestorm by formally reaching a conclusion on conspiracy - which is a copout. Why? Institutionalist and didn't want to be the person to destabilize the administration?

This just gets smellier and smellier with each passing day and, frankly, looks like it will ensnare Mueller, eventually, as well.

"Now, per WaPo" do you mean the paper OWNED by an openly admitted Trump hater? The one that has to do retraction after retraction AFTER being caught for printing LIE after LIE in their reporting of Trump, THAT WaPo?

Mad magazine has MORE credibility the the Wapo!

But, hey, keep on using them as a "reliable source", if you don't mind eating crow ever time the have to do a retraction or apologize for waht tehy have printed!

As far as pre-Medicare days, check the U.S. life expectancy back then - folks back then died nearly 10 YEARS earlier than they do today.

Ken
"folks back then died nearly 10 YEARS earlier than they do today."

And you think Medicare is the reason?

80% of all workers get their health care insurance through their employer. "folks back then" CONTINUED to get their health care insurance from their employer THROUGH RETIREMENT.

"Try telling your GOP base that they have to go live with their kids"
Are you this naive to believe ONLY the GOP base would do this and NOT the dem base also?
