You know, it doesn't matter what we think. The French fire fighters responded saying it wasn't a good idea. End of story.
Whether you think offering condolences to the French people is the right thing to do or not, is up to you. Personally, I think it is important. The loss of Notre Dame is a tremendous loss. The people of the world mourn its loss. The French are not alone in their mourning.
Also a particularly bad time being Easter. Really sad.
I don’t understand why they didn’t install some means of fire retardant
If they didn’t want to use water couldn’t they have used CO2 or foam in some areas?
However I am sure it will be restored, although it make take a few decades to complete the work.
The famous York Minster Cathedral was restored after a fire in 1984, and they used new materials and methods in order to make sure it never happens again.
The point of my post wasn't to assign fault, but to show how egregiously idiotic he is at everything.
