I actually feel bad for these people. They're just trying to cope with the conflict between saying the right thing and self-preservation. Many of them have been put in a horrible position by their government.

Great interview. It's far far too bad that we don't have real journalism like that in the USA. But hey, they can all go live with Cher and her friends.

Hypocrisy, that everyone knows exists, is exposed.

Cher might actually like the smell of innards boiling in the yard all day!

Hot Latinas tend to make lots of babies. Enjoy supporting all of them, lol.

Do immigrants still need a sponsor in the USA?

We could go back to the old way and have every immigrant have a sponsor for 2 or 3 years. The sponsor was a guarantee the immigrant would not be a drain on resources. Congress could do it today.

Instead of asking liberals to take them in why not Chamber of Commerce members, maybe employers?

Well, as I expressed in my opening comments, I don't think it's hypocrisy so much as it is people trying to cope with a bad situation. Swedes are very decent folks who generally want to do and say what they feel is the right thing in their society. So the default position is a sort of passive-aggressive mindset in order to cope. I wasn't trying to make fun of them. This is what they have to deal with. In the early days of the great refugee migration, many of them did take refugees into their homes, and in some cases the results were less than positive.

The Italian video is a different story. The man lives at his hotel business and the police did, in fact, commandeer his hotel to house refugees and he had no choice in the matter.

The native middle eastern mindset does not mix well with western culture. Especially when they believe us all to be infidels.
I'm what some posters on here we would call a liberal, and I'm not a proponent of mass immigration of ANY group. I can understand why some people might feel uncomfortable at the prospect (or the reality) of an influx of large numbers of people who seem very different.

But, if you really think about it, your feelings are very similar to what some Americans felt after WWII regarding the huge migration of displaced Germans and Italians. Many believed that the Germans and Italians, as well as the Japanese, "did not mix well" with a predominantly English-speaking culture. Especially considering they had been the enemy.

So, what happened?

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. The words in your first paragraph and the implications you're making in your second paragraph and final question are at complete odds with each other. If you "really think about it" all you're doing here is trying to find a more flowery way of saying the same bullcrap the rest of the rabid leftists are saying. Your sentiments are exactly why these people should be bused to your back yard instead of someone else's.

So, they are really dumb.

I don't think so. People from that part of the world often tend to have a superiority complex. They have to feel like they are better than others and virtue signaling is part of that. They don't outright insult but they are passive aggressive and look down on other groups. Maybe they see the migrants as pets who could be molded by their superior utopian mindset. I don't feel sorry for them. They don't want to hear truth or logic.

They weren't third world people.
