Not everyone claims a tax deduction for their charitable contributions.

Thats what i was just going to reply with! You are absolutely correct, and I am one of those people, I have never taken the tax benefit when Ive donated, I have gotten some strange looks though, one I will never forget, after donating about a truckload of snacks, candy, etc to a local shelter, after we spent about 40 minutes hauling all the boxes inside, the lady starts writing out a value receipt, and asks me how much it was all worth, I told her to throw it away, I was donating because i wanted to help others, not so I can get a tax break, she had the most confused look Ive ever seen!

Im not sure if any large companies refuse the tax benefit, Id be curious to know if any did though.

Would that be your response if it turns out Trump didn't give much?

Give Beto a break... he just can’t remember how much he’s donated. Don’t forget his public service and public life! That counts for donations..donating his time.

“We are trying to go back to some of these organizations to see if they can share with us, over the last 10 years, how much we have donated,” he said, adding that his family has also “donated time on the boards of nonprofits and, certainly, in public service and in public life.”

That's pretty big of him... So let me get this straight, since I was in the Army for 26 years as an enlisted man and combat soldier, can "I" claim that "I" donated time to public service and get credit for my service?? If so, I guess I'm good for life since being in the enlisted ranks, you don't make much... Especially if you divide the pay by hours worked and deployments to foreign lands.

Sorry, but this is pretty sad when others, the elite class, DEMANDS that YOU give up your hard earned income, while they don't. And they're shocked that most of America's blue collar/working class don't buy their BS.

I'm hoping this guy just fades away, but he won't... Since there are enough "low information" voters to keep him afloat.

In contrast Trump has donated millions of millions of dollars to charity including to veterans.

Also when we had the floods in Louisiana in 2016, Trump gave here and donated a truckload of supplies while Hillary put her campaign first and Obama couldn't even disrupt his golf vacation to come. Trump didn't let golf get in the way of visiting Alabama after the recent tornadoes and showing people he cared.

As Bernie would phrase it when asked about giving his fair share of taxes “Pfft!”

Lol, y’all seem surprised by the hypocrisy by the left, ha. Remember, it’s their way of life.

It is comic gold that {D} leaders who insist on seeing Trumps taxes rushed to show their returns so they could look sacred and we find out how cheap they are when donating to charity. It would get better if Trump released his taxes and it showed he gave more to charity then Beto, Sanders, Harris combined.

That is all what releasing tax returns is all about a " gotcha" moment, too bad so far it has back fired.

Beto - keep your hands off my money until you step up to the plate and do something.
"Bernie gave about $17,000, not great,"

He maded OVER a MILLION and $17,00 is not "great". It is SHAMEFUL considering everything negative he continues to say about OTHER millionaires and capitalist, which is HOW he "made" his over a million.

Complete hypocrite!
