The following article/op-ed was published one year ago. Fifteen names have been added since then.

https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com...htmlstory.html

Here is a breakdown since records were kept:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._United_States

I support all the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution (the Bill of Rights) as they were intended, but I think the above statistics are both outrageous and saddening. Btw, at the time of the Columbine massacre, I lived two miles away from it, and my kids were in a local elementary school at the time. I don't think that I will ever forget that day and the days immediately following it, but I am sure that the grief I still feel is felt about a million times as much by the families and friends of the killed and injured.

Maybe this isn't the right time to discuss this. I don't know where you live now, but here in metro Denver, we're pretty sensitive right now.

I now live about five miles away. There are several observances planned, but (of course) I don't know how well attended these will be.

None of us will forget that day, or the days after. It was horrifying.

I didn't want to start another thread, but there was a Jeffco sheriff's officer literally standing guard inside the Columbine public library today, slightly less than a mile from the school. I have never seen that before, and I go to that library almost every weekend. I wonder if any more threats have been received, but I hope that is just some kind of coincidence and completely unrelated.

Pastor Dwight Blackstock, who presided over the funeral of 15 year old Daniel Rohrbough, said that after the 1999 massacre, he thought Columbine would be the last event of its kind.

“I proved to be naive in that thinking,” he said.

Pastors from Columbine funerals reflect on faith and 20 years of mass shootings:

There have been so many equally bad school shootings and other massacres after Columbine. Things haven't changed one bit. It has only gotten worse.

Ive always thought it interesting and strange, that the Columbine shooting, is the ONLY school shooting that has never been alleged to be a false flag/conspiracy (by anyone as far as Ive seen).

I think this may be due to, when this happened, media was quick to release surv footage of the attack taking place, so it was very clear what was going on that day, it was truly 2 'lone wolves', I dont know of any other school shooting, where surv footage of the actual incident happening, were shown to the public.

I can't get into that article. I'll have to figure out a way. The pastor who did Dylan Klebold's funeral got fired by the church council. His replacement is now my pastor. She said that was a very divided church at the time. That said, I don't quite get this obsession with Columbine that some people seem to have.
