Maybe because there is nothing showing that he was at fault. Whatever he may have said publicly, it is now known that he was paying a lot of attention to it, and trying to do as much as he could, without appearing to favor Hillary.
By the way, I notice you don't say anything about Trump's shrugging up shoring up our defenses against Russia next time.
With a military budget of over 700 billion we should be able to fight the galaxy and win.
Obama down played any Russian threats and in fact chastised Romney for Cold War thinking. I believe he actually said that Russia wasn't a threat.
Russia does make a great boogey man for both parties though.
One point that nobody, not even Republicans for some odd reason, want to make is probably the strongest defense of Trump: any successful attempt by Russia to interfere in the election was a failure of the Obama administration.
It's not a partisan point; he was the President during 2016. He spent the entire election season dismissing the idea of Russia being any sort of existential threat, then after Hillary lost, he had the intelligence community do a security review and issue a report (something that would've normally taken months to complete) while he was still in office, and all that report did was pin the whole thing on Russia and quasi-implicate Trump and his campaign.
Mueller's investigation has gotten us so wrapped up in every minute detail by people in Trump's world that it's distracted us from the simple fact that national security is the job of the chief executive, not private citizens, not Presidential candidates.

Valid point. Now, let's apply that to Trump and every other politician. The left unabashedly declares people guilty before there is a shred of evidence. Do you read/watch the news?

because the mainstream media, IE cnn, msnbc, and their like, have been in the pockets of the DNC since watergate, and have been openly in the pockets of the DNC since the 1996 election cycle.
in 2008 they became the advertising arm of the DNC and have been there ever since.

Anderson Cooper is still part of the CIA... Look it up.
Operation Mockingbird was never killed. It had many eggs.
The obvious answer is there is no difference between the media and the democrat party.

The FBI, and then the Special Counsel was tasked with:
1. Determining whether Russia interfered with our election, and if so, to what extent and other details;
2. Later on...when the FBI picked up communications between the Trump campaign and Russia (when it was listening to Russian agent conversations and communications)...to determine if Trump and/or his campaign members were conspiring with Russia; and
3. Later on...after certain behavior by Trump...to determine whether Trump obstructed justice.
The FBI/DOJ or the Special Counsel was not investigating which Americans, if any, are to blame for Russia interfering in our democracy or hacking into election systems.
I know Trumpers like to blame Obama for everything, but it's ridiculous to say he's responsible for fake Trolls on Facebook and Twitter, and them being successful in winning over Trump supporters, or for Russia hacking into state election systems. State election systems are in the control of those states. Not the federal govt.
To the contrary, our intel (the ones that Trump loves to criticize as being Democrats and incompetent) notified the involved states that Russia was trying to hack their election systems, and offered assistance in countering the hacking. Not one of those states accepted any assistance or took any actions, that we know of, to protect their election systems. Those key states were Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, although there were others.
The Mueller Report is damming to Trump. You should read it. It lists all the conspiratorial evidence that it knows of, and there's a lot. It also lists all the obstruction of justice evidence, and there's a lot.
The report did not absolve Trump of either crime, despite what Trump says. You are aware, I'm sure, that Trump lies almost every time he opens his mouth.
Mueller handed over the matter to Congress, as part of the checks and balances system. Congress may either take it up, or not. I'm sure the Democrats will discuss this thoroughly and decide.
The Trump person was set up. They purposely sought out Papadopolous to try to get into the Trump campaign. It was a set up from the start.
AND he told Putin he would 'have more flexibility since it was his last election'. That doesn't seem to bother ANY Democrats.
