Every time we buy a product or service there was a surcharge for the employees healthcare. I'm not sure what to think about that but I don't see it as a way to keep healthcare cost down. The surcharge could be anything the business says it is.
Isnt that already incorporated into their fees/pricing as overhead expenses.

Sure, and that will be their tip. If tip is already figured in only those wanting to support Americans having free health care can eat there.

I can kinda understand an argument of providing information to a customer as to why dining out became more expensive but no, I don't like the idea.

By all means, raise your prices. Yes, you can raise your prices by 3% as opposed to adding 3%. You have to trust the system. You treat your employees right, they are going to treat the customers right.

The surcharge is BS. One of the most lucrative line of business is owning chain restaurants. We already pay their labor cost by having to tip 20-25%.
Yeah, I considered that too.
Then it seemed like a tactic used by the Mafia in their protection rackets. That's bound to get the government involved. The gov. is going to want their cut too.

It's kinda odd that people would want the person that cooks and serves their meals to come in sick because they can't afford to call off otherwise, but whatever.

I'll pay the extra 3% but it doesn't need to be a surcharge.

This is so asinine!

How do you know? Did you check their balance book?

Did they force you to eat there? If not, how is that a mafia tactic?
