The only thing I got out of the poll is that whoever voted yes to illegal immigrants are the ones in real life that wants nothing to do with illegal immigrants. Again when push comes to shove, I can almost guarantee not one liberal here want their neighborhood inundated with these so called hard-working generous people, lol.
this very silly poll exposed many CD posters' propensity to stereotype people, "trumpers" and illegals both, and irrational hatred.
I learned quite a bit about many CD posters from reading their comments this morning.

I was wondering the same thing about the Venezuelans (not only emigrants) who claim they are starving. Many of them are obese, a little starvation might not hurt
But people fleeing from an extremely violent place like Honduras are not claiming they were poor in Honduras. They are simply fleeing to be safe. A friend of mine in Brazil said a lot of people are already a bit paranoid when using their cell phones outdoors because so many people get brutally attacked by criminals trying to steal their phones and other stuff. For some, especially people with children, that constant fear is enough to emigrate.
Those who think Americans South of the Mason-Dixon line would actually work....should be required to read the free or cheap book by Olmstead about the Southern Economy. He wrote it while traveling among the various states for months.....and the quotes in are from the "southern white man himself" - the Boss, not Olmstead.

No stories exist of Ben Franklin or Thomas Jefferson in the fields with a hoe week after week...simply because they wore fine clothes, drank beer and figured out how to make money from Government Largess.
Now...if I am being asked whether I'd have undocs....or Norsemen from the upper midwest...I might choose the later. But Trumpers still are not my favorite bunkmates.

Me if I am stuck on an island, give me prior service, marines, airborne and special forces. Give me farmers and country folks.
What I don't need is a bunch of people who feel that we need to form committees to discuss every decision, Or people who feel that they are are entitled to at least half, not due to participation, but because it's only fair that those who have share with those who refuse to get dirty. Mind you not all liberals or city people think like this, but enough do, that one could only expect to be infested by such.
You ever go on a team building exercise with a large company? It's like a camp for adults. (Really mild brain washing). I have been on 3. People from all over the country were in attendance. 5 days. They tend to break down into a few groups.
1. The Managers flock together. They have the most in common. College educated. Hang out at the "same nice place." (Had to throw that in there, someone said that earlier.) The lower ranks who self identify or like hanging out with bosses.
2. The good ole boys club. They like each other, love hunting and fishing and beer. Lots of former jocks. IQ's tend to be in the mid 90's. LOL. Just kidding. But they are incredibly close minded.
3. This group tends to be the most flexible. They have a few natural leaders, very competitive, and a strong dislike for the other 2 groups. Well maybe not dislike, but distrust. They have worked together enough to know.
Group 1 forms committees, they talk about solutions, they talk it to death.
Group 2 starts out fast, but then the power struggle starts and arguing follows. It boils down to whoever had the most touch downs, or shot the biggest deer, gets to be boss.
Group 3 They are flexible, open minded, they like team work, They attack the challenge as a unit and succeed.
Group one is a lot like Bernie supporters, or AOC supporters, or Warren supporters.
Group 2 are the hard core supporters of Trump.
Group 3 are those of us held hostage by both parties. They tend to vote independent, don't bury themselves in conspiracies, don't talk politics at work or push it on their children. A live and let live people.
Go to a few of those corporate team building gigs. LOL it is eye opening.

MAGAs and other nativists are demanding that government intervene in the free market. That is pretty much the textbook definition of communism.
Not sure what you talking about but do you think liberal/progressives/socialist promising Free Health Care, free college, expanding welfare, food stamps and allowing illegals Aliens to roam free in our country a good thing? Or like communism its an effort for the government to take total control of our lives.
Actually to me it's 'shut up and sit down' we know what is best.
