If Donald Trump is the best this country can do, we are doomed. Anyone who cares about this nation needs to stop the partisan and divisive behavior and start looking for common ground.
Of all people, Republican Senator Mitt Romney and of all places, on Fox News, Romney says he's sickened by the deception and dishonesty by Trump and many others in his administration. Of course, this could be his opening salvo against Trump, if he's thinking about mounting a campaign for the party's presidential nomination.
Romney says that Trump has been trying to mislead the country, into going in a bad direction. It would be interesting to see what direction Romney would want to lead us. But remember when he was governor of Massachusetts, he established a single-payer state healthcare program. It didn't survive very well, but at least he tried. Even though he's a republican, he would certainly be the lesser of bad choices, if Trump is the alternative.
Massachusetts implemented an Individual mandate on all residents and required employers with 10 pr more employees to provide an insurance benefit with a reasonable subsidy.
The state law relied on private insurance. It is NOT a Single Payer System. It was modified to comply with the ACA, where different.
Romney’s vision for healthcare was for each state to do their own thing.
thank you! That's the real reason for Romeny's Rant. His ego was hurt and since that day about two years ago, Trump has lived in MR's head rent free. This is/was Romeny's only opportunity to be listened to. The media wouldn't give him a moment's notice if he were in good favor with Trump or if he had anything positive to say.

Trump is here to fight against the Leftists and their agendas from taking over America. It ultimately may not be successful (because the overall trend in this country seems to be heading Left) but if he could delay it or throw a monkey wrench into that movement, he will go down in history as one of the most influential and great presidents in this country's history. We don't want him to resign. We need more of him. We could use 50 more Trumps.
