Lol. It is definitely a snobby / rich area. Agreed.

I am not a snob (to my knowledge) but just like living in places with low crime rates and nice scenery. That is why we bought here... no political reasons.

I do not shop at Costco. I hate Costco and Walmart. Krogers or HEB for me.

Ya know, I have to admit it surprised me a bit that OP had The Woodlands listed as conservative.

I see quite a few Beto stickers on bumpers around here.

I can see it being majority conservative thinking folks but there is definitely a strong liberal presence here as well.

Tell me about the property taxes! Yikes

Good thing I don't like to do much but the occasional walk and dinner out. (showing my age now)

7) Sunnyvale, CA
8) Durham, NC
9) Alexandria, VA
10) Bellevue, WA

I wanted to ask as general question: Hypothetically, without using politics, if you were given a job offer in one of the cities above? Could you put politics aside to relocate to San Francisco? Keeping in mind costs of living, quality of life, real estate values, demographics, etc.

What about one of the most conservative cities?

1) Lafayette, LA
2) Tyler, TX
3) The Woodlands, TX
4) Knoxville, TN
5) Frisco, TX
6) Carrollton, TX
7) Murfreesboro, TN
8) Chattanooga, TN
9) Scottsdale, AZ
10) Huntsville, AL

Where would you rather live politics aside?

For me using these two lists I'd pick
1) Scotsdale, AZ
2) Boulder, CO
3) The Woodlands, TX
I would pick off of this list:

Of the Liberal Cities:
Boulder,CO. Because, Colorado.
Bellevue,WA
I might pick Durham, but I've had enough of hot, humid summers.

Of The Conservative Cities:
Carrolton,TX. It has better public transportation options than Frisco.

The only TN city I could see myself living in long-term is Nashville, and with that, not a fan of Tennessee summers. At least the DFW area has less humidity. 100 F with low humidity is more tolerable than 90 with high humidity. Most of the cities on the conservative list are either in humid climates or in states I could never live in.

Been to that BJ's restaurant around Research Forest Dr many times, and stayed at the hotel behind the same strip mall.

I know Woodlands is a separate town, but I always looked at it as a part of the Houston metro.

I would hope I wouldn't let liberal versus conservative influence where I lived or moved my family. I have actually lived in Pasa and Alexandria and we are very conservative. I spent my last 3 years in high school in Pasadena. Of course we won't talk about how many years ago that was. Our son graduated from high school in Alexandria. Again that was back in the Reagan era. I went to college in Boulder. It was super liberal even then. We also lived in Carrollton and the company I retired from is headquartered there.

We have not been to that BJ's. Will have to try it.

Oh yes. I see The Woodlands as a Houston suburb for sure.

I am just thankful that my office is up here and not in downtown Houston! Terrible commute to Houston proper.

I won't live in a leftist state nor city....not a city person anyways...I like my country quiet. The most Conservative nah not really either. Louisiana and Texas and Arizona too hot,Tennessee been there done that liked it but don't care for their social safety net for the poor too much,Alabama just no...
