Former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort is now in federal prison

Former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort is now in federal prison. Manafort, who was convicted and pleaded guilty in 2018 to multiple charges of fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy, is serving his 7.5 year sentence at a minimum-security facility outside Scranton, Pennsylvania, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.

Just a reminder of his convictions...

Manafort convicted on 8 counts; mistrial declared on 10 other charges

Manafort, a fixture in Republican politics for decades, was convicted of five counts of tax fraud, one count of failure to file a report of foreign bank and financial accounts and two counts of bank fraud. A mistrial was declared in three counts of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts, and seven counts of bank fraud and bank fraud conspiracy.

Prosecutors built a case that Manafort for years hid millions from U.S. tax authorities in overseas accounts, spending the money to maintain a lavish lifestyle and lying to banks to generate more cash.

...
The charges at issue in the trial, which began July 31, weren't directly related to Russian interference in the 2016 election, the key aim of Mueller's investigation which includes probing possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.

Although he broke numerous laws, the worst crime was being involved with Trump... that was his downfall. Because when Trump became the target, he was subject to be blackmailed because of his past lawbreaking and became expendable.

Do you actually believe he is the only one breaking these laws? Some of the actions went back almost a decade. They already knew what he did. He was working with Democrat operatives in foreign policy matters (Greg Craig, Podesta Brothers).

I guess the only question I had was if you’re aware that Donald Trump is your president?

Apparently, Manafort was indicted by a grand jury in New York on 16 counts related to mortgage fraud.

So there's still that to settle.

Funny how so many are pleading guilty, being indicted or going to jail from the "witch Hunt"
There must be a lot of witches out there...
Trump may be the President, but really shouldn't be, since he lost by almost 3 million votes!
He really should be behind bars in an orange jumpsuit (Or in a nursing home due to his Dementia)
being that he is the biggest witch of all.

Yes he is my president...the question is 'is he yours"?

No American citizen was convicted of colluding with the Russians...you did read the Mueller report didn't you.

What actually happened was to find a Trump supporter and find a crime, in that order.
