How is this supposed to look good to anybody not part of Trump's base, especially to the few fence-sitters left. How does this look to the rest of the world, given his behavior and overall track record?

IIRC, last year Huckabee-Sanders was the subject of some scornful ridicule for lying. Probably best she sits this one out.

The event has become completely tasteless and it has nothing to do with the food.

I can see why Trump wouldn't want his cabinet there. He wouldn't want them spotted outside a dogfighting arena either.

I doubt that Trump cares about anything but rallying his base.

He loses them, he's toast.

From the video that they posted, he doesn't look "furious" at all.
