How do you think the media would handle that?
Spying on presidential candidates is not new.
Ask J. Edgar Hoover.

Sure why not? Trump could have their offices bugged to keep them safe from themselves? Trump could direct the FBI and the DOJ to keep an eye on them all including the DNC. The DNC pulled something shady when they pushed the popular Bernie out of the way in 2016 to hand Hillary what she was due and owed...

You don't think the FBI, CIA, etc. aren't spying on the Russians -- and therefore anyone who interacts?

Really?

You think that was a one of.

Trump became part of the investigation because of the interaction some of his senior staff had with the Russians.

If the Deomcrat candidates meet with or contact Russian political pundits then guess what -- they will be part of the surveillance of the Russians and their attempts to interfere with the election.

Only if we have a soft coup attempt against a duly elected president complemented by a never ending witch Hunt because we didn't get our way.

I wouldn't doubt that Trump and his minions would do something like that. I bet that Trump would ask his BFF, Putin, to do the spying for him.

Default OP: Trump To Spy On All the Democrat Candidates to Make Sure They Are Not Colluding with Russians

OP: Trump To Spy On All the Democrat Candidates to Make Sure They Are Not Colluding with Russians

Perhaps 'all the Democrat candidates' should do what then NY Representative Ed Koch did under similar circumstances, in other words, post a sign on their doors:

Quote:
After Senator Lowell P. Weicker Jr., Republican of Connecticut, said last weekend that one of the men in the Watergate bugging case had been ordered last spring to keep certain Senators and Representatives — including Mr. Javits and Representative Edward I. Koch, Democrat of Manhattan — under visual surveillance, Mr. Koch posted a sign on the door of his House office that said:

“These premises were ‘surveilled’ by the Watergate Seven. Watch yourself.”

Folks on both sides of the aisle are naive if you don't think this next election isn't being watched from many angles...and it should be.

I know there is a fine balance of 'surveillance' and freedoms, etc.....but I always fall on what many of you would say is the wrong side on this. I assume there will be surveillance of campaigns......and looking out for Russian contacts -- or contact with any foreign govt. by candidates and then nominees.
