House hearings are underway and it looks like subpoenas and courts will be involved.
Trump's attorneys filed a lawsuit to prevent his accountants from from complying with Congressional subpoenas, citing a SCOTUS decision that was overturned nearly a century ago.
Am I the only one around here that remembers TeamObama and Eric Holder ignoring Congressional Subpoenas? How about Rod Rosenstein and the DOJ ignoring House Subpoenas?
Leftist are Hair on Fire ... and this is pretty common stuff that happens in all Administrations.
The House investigated and found nothing
The Senate investigated and found nothing
Mueller spent 2 years, over 500 interviews, Millions of documents, Grand Juries, 40 FBI investigators, 19 Leftist Attorneys, $25+ Million dollars ...
And found NOTHING.
President Trump says “ that’s enough” and won’t be cooperating anymore.
Normal People think that’s a reasonable position- if the House Democrats choose to spend the next 18 months on “Investigations” that have already been decided because they can’t accept the results of the previous investigations AND the 2016 Election... their choice.
They will end up with NO Legislative accomplishments and can run on Failure in 2020.
Looks like Barr & Nadler may have a showdown on the proposed Thursday hearing before the House Judiciary Committee. Note that he OFFERED - no subpoena needed. Also note that the appearance is before the Committees and not the Committee Staff. Note also that the Democrats have refused to even read the partially redacted report .... that's a job for Staff, they are too lazy.
Attorney General William Barr is reportedly threatening to pull out of a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee this week.
A committee source told CNN that Barr objects to the format planned for Thursday's hearing, which is focused on special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., wants two rounds of questions, one for members and a second in which each counsel for the Democratic Party and Republican Party would have the opportunity to ask questions. He also proposed a closed session to discuss redacted sections in Mueller's report.
I guess Nadler can go to the Senate Hearing a hear what AG Barr has to say .... Looks like he thinks the 24 Democrat members on the House Judicial Committee are not competent to ask questions.
I think he is correct - Nadler himself is not competent enough to understand US LAW and rules that won't allow Grand Jury Testimony to be released and Methods crucial to National Security to be released.
"Discussions are still ongoing, to be picked back up tomorrow," a Justice Department official told the Washington Examiner. "Our position is that it’s a congressional hearing, therefore members do the questioning."
Nadler told CNN that Barr would not "dictate the format of the Judiciary Committee."
AG Barr is not objecting to the House Judiciary Format -- he is saying he will appear before the Committee for questions ...... NOT the Committee staffers. He has offered to appear before a small group with a more redacted report - AG Barr is never going to break US Law for the incompetent Nadler and release a fully redacted report. Even a more partially redacted report is not suitable for the Judiciary Committee -- they don't have the clearances for that. Only a fool would entrust National Secrets to people like Sheila Jackson Leigh and this bunch of clowns.
"The only thing, apparently, that will satisfy Democrats, who refuse to read the less-redacted report, is to have staff pinch hit when a cabinet official appears before us," the spokesperson said. "What actual precedent is there for our committee making such demands of a sitting attorney general as part of our oversight duties? The attorney general isn't a fact witness, and this committee's investigations — as Democrat leadership reminds us daily — don't constitute impeachment, so Democrats have yet to prove their demands anything but abusive and illogical in light of the transparency and good faith the attorney general has shown our committee."

The accountants are not government employees.
They cannot be forced to comply. Kick Rocks!
Nothing can be done to a private citizen, who refuses a subpoena, not accused of a crime.
People are not PROPERTY of Government. Government are the Peoples SERVANTS.
