As an European, her policies would be considered moderate Center..
She is also one of the most articulate and well thought out politicians out there.. really refreshing to listen to young articulate people, with views that most Americans agree to!!
That the Rightwing are absolutely falling over themselves to call her stupid, young, idiot, only a bartender, silly etc etc etc only shows how afraid they are of somebody like her!
NO OTHER POLITICAN gets this much attention from the Rightwing media and cultists...
I know who she was from the beginning of the Justice Democrats.. the Organization started by Chenk, Kyle and Bernie Sanders people... and have seen this organization grow from its conception. I also knew she won.. but did not read much more into it... I thought she was like the other Justice Democrats that won.
Then she absolutely exploded on the National level by Right wing media tearing into her like wild dogs.. She did not have to do much work, because they where calling her all sorts of things.
The "left" media did not give her to much attention, because she is preaching Bernie Sanders politics, which the Clinton faction in the Democratic Party hates and still control most of the leftish media.
I am seeing more and more desperate conspiracy theories about her on several US forums I visit... really really strange.
And her views are just normal Centrist politics here in Scandinavia. A highly capitialistic society with a strong safety net.

You don't have to be from the Bronx to see how badly AOC screwed up with the Amazon deal, listen it doesn't matter what party you go for but JOBS, JOBS, JOBS matter to a lot of people. Have you seen the polls coming out of NYC, deep blue now will be turning to Red. What exactly was she trying to prove? Even her own party colleagues, the Governor and the Mayor are blasting her for it.
A new conservative PAC called "True Patriots Republican" are organizing behind a candidate to unseat her, watch and see.
I don't blame people in New York for not wanting to promote Amazon and making it easier for it to drive out locally owned businesses. My town was suffering enough from two super Wal-Marts. Now it's Amazon helping Wal-Mart drive out local businesses.
A job she wanted so badly that she didn't even apply for it.
Doors don't knock themselves. If she didn't want the job why would she have knocked on thousands of doors. Just for fun ? Just to say hi ?
STill not a bad payday for a 174k a year job. Any Republican would be proud of that. Shes not on food stamps, medicaid, disability, or other Govt entitlements, or having babies out of wedlock.
She was doing political work on her free time... her brother saw that the Justice Democrats where looking for people who would NOT ACCEPT corporate money and wanted Universal Healthcare to all Americans... basically Bernie Sanders policies.
Since she was already political active, traveling the country meeting other political active, she was accepted through a vetting procedure, and joined hundreds of others like minded, who DO NOT ACCEPT CORPORATE donations!!
She was already in the Bernie Sanders camp.. as she was inspired by his politics.

Her "casting call" was that her brother found a political movement she already believed in and joined them.
The Rightwings new fantasy "she is an actor".. is ridiculous on its face when you know the facts. I was following the creation of the Justice Democrats from its inception and are well aware of how this worked, what people they where looking for and that they demand their people DO NOT ACCEPT CORPORATE money!
