University of Virginia basketball team will not celebrate championship at the White House

As a result the WH isn't going to let a basketball team make government policy. Its a win/win.

He was referring only to people who wanted to preserve a statue of General Robert E. Lee when he declared that there were “very fine people on both sides” of the deadly 2017 alt-right riot in Charlottesville, President Trump said Friday.

I'm not ignoring anything except the way the Leftist Media goes bananas and manages to edit practically ever word the President says ... in their never ending Hysterical Meltdown.
A few are admitting they got it wrong - CNN’s Jake Tapper acknowledged Friday that President Donald Trump was not, in fact, referring to the neo-Nazis who demonstrated 2017 in Charlottesville, Virginia, when he said, “There were good people on both sides.”

I guess UVA players and coaches make their decisions based on finger in the air Petitions.
It's shows a distinct lack of Class -- the White House doesn't belong to Donald Trump, he is upholding long traditions to invite Championship Teams into the People's House and they act like whiney little brats (Administration, Coach and Players) to resort (or give in to) a Hysterical Meltdown Mentality.

[i]In the days since the University of Virginia (UVA) men’s basketball team claimed the title of National Champions on April 8, a petition calling for them to celebrate "without hate" and refuse an invitation to visit President Donald Trump at the White House gathered thousands of signatures.

Lacey Kohlmoos, a UVA alumna and Care2 Organizing Strategist, told Newsweek she felt it was her “duty” as an alumna to use the tools she had available to “make this important statement.” The Care2 petition, created on April 10, had 10,850 of the 11,000-signature goal as of Tuesday morning. [/b]

He was talking about people who came to advocate their position on the statue peacefully and he had a comment for the group of people who were not peaceful, the neo nazis and the leftwing anti-fa who iniaited the violence.

It shouldn't offend a fair person that he recognized people's right to peacefully protest and express their views.

This isn't hard to understand if you are not a partisan liberal who calls anybody who isn't a leftist a racist.

Try to challenge yourself to go a month without calling somebody a racist.

It is crazy for you to continue to assert he said something racist given he literally condemned neo nazis and white supremacists.

I think there are players on UVA's team that would have gone to the White House but the coach or the UVA adminstration made the decision for them.

That's the problem with many universities these days....they are totally controlled by leftists.
