Knife crime has very similar numbers between the US and the UK, yet there is about 250 times more gun deaths in the US...........hmmmmm, I wonder why that is? It is still true that the most dangerous UK cities are safer than the least dangerous US ones!! In other words you can keep your (quite frankly stupid) second amendment!! (whatever the hell that means anyway).

Britain’s total homicides last year still does not surpass total homicides in Chicago in 2016.

The U.S. is plagued by inner city Black on Black violence and murder mostly committed by multiple Felons who are already prohibited from legally having a gun. Address that, not law abiding citizens legally owning guns.

And I'll ask again what was the homicide rate in 1990-1997 and how does it compare to 1997 onwards?

Because if the answer is 1990-1997 was lower than 1997 onwards, gin control achieved the square root of Fanny Adam's. And yes it was indeed lower before 1997 than after.

BTW, saying the US anything is worse than the UK, when the thread is about Uzk knife violence is a textbook whataboutism.

Speculating why the US homicide rate is higher than the UK from UK only experience is like making a guess at whether dogs like cheese by watching cats drink milk.

The Brits aren't alone, knife crime in Germany is up more than 900% over the past ten years.
https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/1...s-knife-crimes

It's almost like the Germans imported a bunch of criminals or something.

Until the murder rate in the US even comes remotely close to as low as in the UK I wouldn't be making posts like this if I was 'over there' it would just make me look stupid.
