WASHINGTON — The growing cost to the United States of fighting the war in Iraq "is not only linked to our economic skid, but is a leading cause of it," a Democratic congressman said Saturday.

While I'm not sure I can disagree with part of it, I do have to ask why do they keep voting for it...

I think the leading cause of our economic skid is our own government (subprime mess, war, porkbelly politics).

As a percentage of GDP, historically, it's miniscule.

Have them dems try again for a reason to surrender.
