The same author also published a book called Material word and a couple of others. I have this book and it does not cover all the countries, but it was most interesting to see what people eat. Strangely enough, I used to always be surprised how little I spend on food while I am in Germany, providing you buy non processed food, when I go to the farmers market with my Mom, we can get a whole big basket of food for under 20 Euros, the same amount of food would cost me a lot more here. The two of us can certainly eat well for under 100 Euros a week, easily. Looks like this family lives of packaged, processed junk for the most part.
