I don’t get the need to ridicule those that make difference choices than you made.
I'm not ridiculing them. I'm ridiculing those who push the narrative that everyone must go to college, or else. It is an act of brainwashing, indoctrinating, and manipulating people who usually don't know any better. This level of fear mongering is also destructive to this nation and social fabric, and has resulted in critical labor shortages in many important trades.
These anti American far leftist dopes deserve to be mocked and ridiculed for the damage they have done to this country, and we are just now starting to see the impact. When we get serious about trying to repair our out of date infrastructure, the damage will be much more difficult to ignore. The far left has worked tirelessly to lay waste to this nation, and they hurt our nation's most important asset, it's people.
Maybe you’ll be severely injured on the job while relatively young and have no choice but to live off of SS disability for the rest of your life. Or I suppose you could just commit suicide so that you are not dependent on horrible evil liberal socialist programs.
You are far more likely to become severely injured/disabled in an automobile accident. But if I'm injured on the job, I can always collect disability, go to college, focus on my business, etc. There is no good reason not to pursue a trade, for those interested. Stop discouraging people and let them make up their own minds.

Do you realize how unhealthy and obese Americans are today? Just stop Tradesman are among the most fit and able body people I know. Sitting in a cubical all day is terrible for you health and well being. Plenty of studies have confirmed this. All the tradespeople in my family have made it to retirement, and most are pretty damn fit and strong. You are obviously talking about something you have little knowledge of. There is nothing that I do on the job that is overly strenuous, but I do have to physically work. There is nothing wrong with that.
Generations past were proud to work hard and prosper. I didn't realize our nation was in such a sad state of decline... Mentally and physically, yes, I knew we were going downhill, but I am surprised how bad our nation's attitude has become. Work avoidance is not a good thing, or a sign of a strong, healthy nation.
