What it is like, when they run out of other peoples money.
You want Socialism to be the law of the land here?
Are you prepared for what they never tell you?
Never give up your guns!
I don't take such people seriously. She is obviously against the Venezuelan government and judging from the way she speaks, she is US American. Like those Cubans in Miami...
Socialism is not the problem, but the incompetent and somewhat crazy president, and of course the current poverty is mostly the result of the billions of dollars/euros/whatever that are being withheld from Venezuela, money that belongs to the Venezuelans state and thus the Venezuelan people.
I would say 90% of the current poverty is not Maduro's fault, but that of the US, and some other countries.
Venezuela is in the mess it is in because of corruption and U.S. interventionism. We are every bit as corrupt and would be in the same predicament if not for the fact that we can simply print money.

Both of these responses are nuts. It's not the United States' fault that they run their country into the ground. We did not tell them what wage regulations or what policies to enact.

This is crazy.
Sadly-that is the type of "logic" you'll see from those that promote socialism. Venezuela used to have a highly profitable oil industry. Much of the equipment and all the skills and knowledge to run it was brought in by foreign companies. The nation made money off the royalties of the oil extracted-with no effort or risk on their part-and with thousands of jobs provided. Yet the government got greedy, seizing and nationalizing all the assets-assets owned by others. Theft on a national scale. Yet without the skills and brains to operate it, things slipped downhill every year. Government ran one of the most profitable oil industries in the world...into the ground.
Not much different than here, when the government lost money when they tried to run a wh*rehouse.
You are naive. There is simply a blackmail going on, either the elected government goes away or the world does not give Venezuela and its people the billions of dollars that are theirs. It is like a castle under siege where people inside the castle are deliberately being starved by the attackers.
It is an ideological blackmail with genocidal traces.

Nor is it our problem. If they have an incompetent leadership and their country goes broke, it should be treated like any other country that goes broke, like Greece a few years ago. I.e. offer loans in exchange for reforms.
