You do realize MMR is a live vaccine right???

Do you know what a "measles vaccination rash is?" Happens in about 5 percent of children who receive the vaccination....completely harmless and devoid of the other more harmful measles symptoms...

Do you know what the "measles vaccination rash" looks like??? EXACTLY like measles, same appearance, same distribution on the body...

Hence why it would be easy to "confuse" a picture of "measles vaccine rash" with "measles"

THEY LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME

Tomato....Tomahto

Why the need to try and invalidate FACTUAL stories detailing serious medical issues over the mislabeling of a picture that essentially DID show measles???

Hitting a little too close to home by threatening your anti vaxxer status???
Yes, I’m aware that kids can have adverse reactions to the MMR vaccine and these reactions can cause the child to have the exact same symptoms that they are supposed to prevent, sometimes just as severe.

I guess as a parent you’d be ok with the media using a picture of your child who was suffering from a vaccine reaction as a tool to try to scare people into getting the vaccine?

stop. Could they not find a stock photo of measles? Who's working back there? Not only was the photo 'shopped', the doctor would not be holding a measles infested child without protection. It was hardly more than a commercial for merck.

Worth repeating. Truthful post. Why do other posters want to spread FALSE OR MISLEADING information and deflect from the seriousness of this issue? What is the goal?

Measles is not a harmless illness but one with deadly consequences that most people, even doctors, have never seen because it was eliminated in 2000

PER the CDC:
At least 704 people in the United States have been sickened this year by measles, a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening disease, according to a report released Monday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It’s the greatest number of cases in a single year in 25 years and represents a huge setback for public health after measles was declared eliminated in the United States in 2000. More than 500 of the people infected in 22 states were not vaccinated. Sixty-six people have been hospitalized, including 24 who had pneumonia. More than one-third of the cases are children younger than 5.
