Yeah, we can ban all handguns as the weapon used in this shooting.
Again, this will not get much coverage unless the shooter is white, used an AR15, wearing a MAGA hat, yelling “this is MAGA COUNTRY!”. Other than that, it’s just a typical Tuesday in Chicago.
It's getting plenty of coverage.
Turn on the TV unless you have glued your channel to FOX.
Just curious, did you move to a country where you are less likely to die from Heart Disease, Cancer, Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease, Suicide, Opioid overdose, Motor Vehicle Crash, or a Fall?
The problem is it's become so commonplace there is no outrage any longer. We have accepted it as our new normal.
Oh, but we have thoughts and prayers in abundance. That fixes everything.
It's so frustrating, isn't it? These prayers and well wishes? When we can just have the government take action against other people who didn't commit the crime by restricting and limiting their rights!!!
Thoughts and prayers don't make us feel good. Yet, passing ineffective legislation that only affects people who don't commit crimes, now that's a great idea!
The amount of whacked out students on college campuses is scary. Students are disrespectful and aggressive when they don't get their way because they have always gotten their way and don't know how to be told "no." Bet this individual was heavily medicated too. Working on a college campus is scary these days. Colleges just want their money and don't take these potential threats seriously. Very sad how things have gotten.

Its true, I'm MUCH more worried about being the victim of a mentally deranged person than I am of a person with a gun. I live in a city and spend time in 2 other large cities and see SO many unstable people who look like they are capable of many bad things. This country has an epidemic of mental issues that we continue to ignore and just try to blame on guns. Guns are a tool, not a root cause.
I'm a Mom whose kid is finishing up his final year at university. He's tying up some loose ends and is suppose to be home next week.
I imagine the victims have family that might be in the same position.
It is so very very sad, So much sadness.
Mental Illness is an epidemic these days. I don't have any wise solutions or attacks or political insults to hurl.
Just sadness.
I wonder how many mass shooters are only "mentally ill" in the figurative sense and not the literally/clinically sense. The figurative sense might apply more to those that are not literally/clinically sick but just "evil".
I wish you could convince more of your fellow liberals to follow your example. Thank you for leaving.
Wingnuts on the left and right threaten to leave all the time. Rush Limbaugh went on the record to say he would leave the country if Obamacare passed. Nearly a decade later, we're still waiting for him to leave.
Gasbag Neal Boortz said he would move to Australia if Obama was reelected in 2012. A country with strict gun confiscation and universal healthcare must have made him realize Obama's "socialist" utopia looked a heck of a lot nicer, so he decided to stay pat in America.
