I really would like to know where these ideas come from that this young terrorist has. I don't come across anybody talking like this. Who are these people?
That's off the grid stuff. These guys seem to be mainstreaming this crap...... I have never heard somebody talk like that in public. Do people really believe what this guy believes? How is that possible?
It is mind boggling sometimes what people believe. It used to be that decent people didn’t cross the true whack-a-doodles’ paths very often because they ran in different circles. Social media and other internet platforms have now brought everyone into our homes, the bad, along with the good.

Clearly the guy is a paranoid, dangerous fanatic, but the middle part of that quote strikes me as odd. Why would the Forward writer juxtapose these "tropes", (which are basically truths; Jews do indeed wield huge influence in media and finance) with the shooter's rants about martyrdom? Does she think the tropes will be discredited by association?

How is it possible that people leave their cushy homes in America to go to the ME to join ISIS? I think these are sick, angry people who think they've taken up some cause. They find a group to direct their anger toward and that becomes their reason for being.
There are probably streams of them to be found on the dark net.

In many cases church. Some of them more or less mainstream. The ones I heard it most from while teaching were Baptists, AME and Pentacostalists.

Neo-Nazis, white supremacists, klansmen and other unaffiliated bigots/racists.
I seldom come across them, either.
But on rare occasions, I do and they feel free to speak up on their hateful rhetoric in small does in my presence, because I certainly fit the profile of a tRump supporter and likely bigot; old white guy who dresses in jeans and wears a ball cap most days.
They're out there and they have a network that promotes their hate and violence, not all that different from Al Qaeda or ISIS.
