One last time- she wasnt speaking of demographics. She was playing the victim of whitey game, appealing to the ‘disenfranchised underprivileged’ perpetual victim crowd.

I have no problem with this Absolom. They lost the white vote in 2016 and lost the election. They are doubling down on the anti-white crap and the result is going to be predictable. Trump will win again.

And a hundred bucks says Omar is ousted in 2020.

We are a big tent. Room for all if that is what you mean by go -to -party. And to respond to all the other misconceptions and falsehoods about the Democrats, here is what we believe and why we believe it.

We Democrats are the party of inclusion. We know that diversity is not our problem.

We believe in protecting civil liberties and guaranteeing civil rights and voting rights, women’s rights and workers’ rights, LGBT rights, and rights for people with disabilities.

Democrats believe that cooperation is better than conflict, unity is better than division, empowerment is better than resentment, and bridges are better than walls.

It’s a simple but powerful idea: we are stronger together.

Democrats believe we are stronger when we have an economy that works for everyone—an economy that grows incomes for working people, creates good-paying jobs, and puts a middle-class life within reach for more Americans.

We believe that today’s extreme level of income and wealth inequality—where the majority of the economic gains go to the top one percent and the richest 20 people in our country own more wealth than the bottom 150 million—makes our economy weaker, our communities poorer, and our politics poisonous.

Democrats know that our nation’s long struggle with race is far from over. More than half a century after Rosa Parks sat and Dr. King marched and John Lewis bled, more than half a century after César Chávez, Dolores Huerta, and Larry Itliong organized, race still plays a significant role in determining who gets ahead in America and who gets left behind. We must face that reality and we must fix it.

We believe a good education is a basic right of all Americans, no matter what zip code they live in.

We believe in helping Americans balance work and family without fear of punishment or penalty. We believe in at last guaranteeing equal pay for women. And as the party that created Social Security, we believe in protecting every American’s right to retire with dignity.

We firmly believe that the greed, recklessness, and illegal behavior on Wall Street must be brought to an end. Wall Street must never again be allowed to threaten families and businesses on Main Street.

Democrats believe we are stronger when we protect citizens’ right to vote, while stopping corporations’ outsized influence in elections. We will fight to end the broken campaign finance system, overturn the disastrous Citizens United decision, restore the full power of the Voting Rights Act, and return control of our elections to the American people.

Democrats believe that climate change poses a real and urgent threat to our economy, our national security, and our children’s health and futures, and that Americans deserve the jobs and security that come from becoming the clean energy superpower of the 21st century.

Democrats believe we are stronger and safer when America brings the world together and leads with principle and purpose. We believe we should strengthen our alliances, not weaken them. We believe in the power of development and diplomacy. We believe our military should be the best-trained, best-equipped fighting force in the world, and that we must do everything we can to honor and support our veterans.

AND I REPEAT: Above all, Democrats are the party of inclusion. We know that diversity is not our problem—it is our promise. As Democrats, we respect differences of perspective and belief, and pledge to work together to move this country forward, even when we disagree.

We are proud of our heritage as a nation of immigrants. We know that today’s immigrants are tomorrow’s teachers, doctors, lawyers, government leaders, soldiers, entrepreneurs, activists, PTA members, and pillars of our communities.

We believe in protecting civil liberties and guaranteeing civil rights and voting rights, women’s rights and workers’ rights, LGBT rights, and rights for people with disabilities. We believe America is still, as Robert Kennedy said, “a great country, an unselfish country, and a compassionate country.”

All are welcome...we are not telling anyone who to hate and fear, because we know as Americans we are stronger together and that, fellow posters, trumps hate and conquers fear.
Does the DNC serve grape or orange flavored kool-aid with that? Wait must be cherry flavored right?

She isn't simply stating facts; she's describing what she wants and what she'll fight for. She's rallying the troops.
"This is the country of the Many." Yes it is and always will be. Ilhan may not be the most eloquent speaker, but she speaks the truth. This country will never be all white and that has the silver head grey suits all upset. My neighbor is a classic example of the hate fueled rhetoric. Hate clouds judgment and erodes the soul. I couldn't believe the stuff that comes out of her mouth. She used to be a good person. It's sad. It's better that we all try to get along. A divided country is a weak country. In another 5 to 10 years the vast majority of the haters will die off. A new generation with new inclusive ideals will take over. Like it or not, that's the way it is. Until then? Rally that Democratic black vote Ilhan. Lets get the haters out of the Senate and White House.

Unfortunately AOC is going to be a lifer in Washington but honestly I don't see Omar being re-elected in Minnesota. This person is batsh*t crazy, if she doesn't stop her rants I can easily see terrorists following her lead to attack the US

Could not be more wrong, half her district is Western Queens where she got most of her support and it's heavily upper middle class white

I would be pleased if the fringe members of both parties are kicked out of Congress ... which unfortunately happens all too rarely. Minnesota's 5th district is very liberal but it could certainly elect a rep who is less strident and divisive than Omar.
She's right. Can you refute it? Every demographic study by anyone with expertise on the topic supports this same conclusion.

And what's so controversial about it?
Some of them have hope that Trump can stem the tide they still believe Trump is their great white hope.

Their party is becoming crazy. Lying to the American public about welfare schemes that have no way of being enacted just to manipulate people into voting for their racist party.

While, President Trump works to bring all Americans together no more race, religion, gender. Democrats want a divisive racist agenda that separates Americans into different classes for the sake of some votes.
I wonder how she feels about Mexico being the country of Hispanics, China, Japan, etc. being the countries of Asians? Africa being the country of blacks and Muslim countries being the countries of Muslims? I'm sure that doesn't bother her one bit. What a hypocrite!

This country was formed in 1776 and we have always had diversity racially, even though we have been majority white so just what is her problem with this? The Amerindians on our soil are all full fledged U.S. citizens. This anti-American, racist woman needs to be kicked out of congress.
