Failed argument.

Incest is found in nature. Other animals eat their young. Still others eat their own feces and vomit. Should we all start doing that?

Not necessarily. But those are indubitably natural actions, aren't they? Whatever else is true about those behaviors, clearly the deity who is supposed to be their creator is not opposed to them. Which is the assertion I am responding to - that the OP's preferred deity is opposed to homosexuality.

It's up to us to decide whether a behavior is acceptable to us or not. And not only have a majority of americans decided that homosexuality is acceptable, so have majorities of people in other nations. Deal with it.

For those interested, here's Time's cover story on Buttigieg - Mayor Pete Buttigieg's Unprecedented Presidential Campaign | Time

For those who are concerned that America is not ready for this - keep in mind that he was elected mayor of South Bend, Indiana, not San Francisco. Midterm, he wrote an op-ed to come out - and was subsequently re-elected with 80% of the vote. If Indianans aren't afraid of him - well, I wouldn't write him off just yet.

A vote for a Democrat is a vote for Socialists like Bernie and AOC, and Islamist like Illfull Omar, and Barrack Farrakhan.

He's not at all trying to use his orientation to get elected, and there is no way that could benefit him. He is merely doing what other candidates have to do, he is disclosing everything about his life history; people are concerned with every aspect of a candidates past history. He is also well aware, that opponents are going to try and use this against him.

He has a very dismal track record at helping the poor.

At a time when economic inequality and racial justice are at the nation’s political forefront, Buttigieg’s candidacy could be hamstrung by the impression that he has not tried hard enough to improve the conditions of South Bend’s poor and minority communities...

the mayor faces criticism about his record on race, including for his handling of a police controversy that continues to be a subject of conversation in the city.

Note that NONE of that has anything to do with his sexual orientation. He's just a bad choice for minorities and the poor.

If I felt he was qualified, then yes. So far, he doesn't impress me at all.

Plus, I am tired of a community leader. I have no problems with homosexuals, it is really none of my business, but I want to select a politician whose priorities are not so screwed up. I don't need to hear about gay rights all the time.

Because Dems are the party of identity politics. Forget REAL issues... they're not interested.
