Stanford pediatric endocrinologist Tandy Aye is determined to try. While Olson-Kennedy is injecting powerful hormones into physically healthy children, Aye isn’t satisfied with merely medical interventions. She wants to allow (and encourage) surgeons to perform mutilating surgery on children (“older adolescents,” she says) who are under 18 and therefore currently unable to agree to such permanent and life-altering procedures.
Children remain under the authority and supervision of parents until age defined by law which is usually 18.
It is a scientific fact that the human brain is not fully developed until the age of 26.
Either live under the rule of the parents until the age of Law or become property of the state plain and simple.
I'm pro-transgender rights and I'm happy to refer to someone by whatever pronoun they prefer, but non-essential powerful hormones and surgery on minors without parental authorization is crazy. If teens want to wear binders (because they identify as a boy) or a bra and fake breasts (because they identify as a girl), then go for it. Surgery under 18 when the parents don't agree? No. Especially not without therapy. If a teen is depressed and suicidal due to gender dysphoria, then simply doing surgery is irresponsible; they also need intensive therapy to get past the depression.

Girls can get abortions under 18 without parental consent or even notification. And abortion providers somehow are able to access the family's insurance company to pay for it. So the slippery slope has been already set up for this. It's very sad.

Can you provide some evidence of the bolded above? I never heard of such a thing.

Girls getting abortions under the age of 18 proves once again that the young mind
throws caution to the wind while in the throws of intimacy. Family insurance if possible
is a blessing not a privilege to aid in the irresponsibility of the still developing child. No slippery slope.
