What are you even talking about? There is no voter suppression nor lost ballots.

They are actually doing exactly what I voted for them to do, and exactly what the ballot for felons voting says.

The felon msut complete the sentence, and that means fines also.

It is pretty damn clear.

Where do you live??? In central Fl there’s been lawsuits with re-districting for voting purposes. And in Sfl - I know about the 4 vans found full of ballots during the Bush Election. I just happen to know things not always make the news. But the native citizens know .

No, I am not.

What the FL GOP is doing should be illegal, and might actually be. They need to respect the results of democratic elections.

ANd from the ballot;

"A "yes" vote supported this amendment to automatically restore the right to vote for people with prior felony convictions, except those convicted of murder or a felony sexual offense, upon completion of their sentences, including prison, parole, and probation."
Yes, it actually spells out what is included: prison, parole and probation. Nothing about fees.

"completion of their sentence including prison, parole and probation". Nothing limits the sentence to those.

It includes prison, parole and probation. That's it. It does not include anything else.

It is not complicated.

The GOP needs to learn to honor the results of democracy, even if they are not happy with the will of "We The People".

No, seems you lack knowledge of legal things, the term "include" should clue you in. The legal definition of "sentencing" is pretty clear also. When I voted "yes", this was the expectation that the felon completes the sentencing, including fines and restitution. Nothing the GOP is doing is illegal, because they are doing exactly what the ballot said to do.

Well seriously though, never read it and never even heard of it nor that Bannon guy until after Trump won the election. Still to this day never even read it, could not even really tell you what it is, a newspaper? Opinion site?

I agree. While incarcerated you are in bondage and have absolutely no rights as a person.
But, a free man... walking the streets of society, has all their god given rights.
Voting is a privilege, only citizens are granted.
