Much less her catalog of songs.
But yet she can, from the grave, be very offensive.

Funny everyone feels good about getting rid of the Kate Smith statue. Yet the team plays in the Wells Fargo Arena. Yes the same bank that routinely overcharged minorities for loans for year and was fined millions of dollars for doing it. But you don't see the team dropping Wells Fargo and the naming rights money. Wells Fargo hurt more black people than Kate Smith could ever do.
BTW, the team traded away their only black player back in March. So much for diversity!

Great points. Doesn't look good on them! Or on my Democratic Party, of which I remain a proud, progressive member.

When did Kate Smith play for the Flyers? Otherwise, why the statue?
We seem to have fallen down a rabbit hole in some of this culture stuff. She seems a bit out of place there.

Flyers started with her singing God Bless America in some playoff games. She was a good luck charm for them, singing live for them during their 2 Stanley Cup winning years in the 70's.. Supposedly when she sang or video of her singing was used their record was around 100 wins 35 loses.

For years the Flyers were owned by Ed Snider. The team was like his family. Relationships were treasured with players and alumni. When he passed, the team was purchased by the cable giant Comcast.
For them, the Flyers are just something that fills time on the TV schedule.

Supposedly the complaints about Kate Smith's past came from a Yankee fan. However a person never came forward to corroborate that claim. A more likely person that started this is Asa Khalif, a Black Lives Matter activist who is running for City Council in Philly. He has a long standing beef with Comcast regarding not hiring enough blacks when Comcast was putting up a building in Philly and he was looking to pull a Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton extortion deal. Check out his Twitter and Facebook regarding this statue.
My GUESS is he got some cash for his campaign from a PAC funded by Comcast and the statue became the sacrificial lamb.

Then why did the Yankees agree to stop playing G-d Bless America?

I wonder if someone will check his closet, maybe he might have some others hidden skeletons?
