the only way infowars could be "blocked" is if the isps did so and, frankly, if the isps throttled or blocked infowars i would laugh my keester off because alex jones heatedly argued against net neutrality and led whatever low-information people buy into his nonsense to believe that net neutrality was a bad thing for consumers.
More like a profit motive for a looney bully........
It's funny since I played the same games myself decades ago..but not for profit.
You see, I ran a truthful political site to bring to light issues in our little (GOP) town. The powers-that-be hated me so much (this was before such things were common) that they even tried to sic the Police on me. Cowards. When a pol tells the police (who they hire) to say or do something, the Police jump!
And so, I played the "Alex Jones" game. I shut the web site down and put a message on the front page that it was due to these particular politicians......funny stuff. It was somewhat true....but not true in the real sense. They were trying hard to shut me down and using the power of the state to scare me......
And so, I provided the pols contact info and they heard from a lot of the web site readers. In fact, the story made it into regional and even national headlines.
The pols had to make excuses and claim they weren't trying to shut it down.
I am going with the latter. He has done this before.
No doubt. A stunt. What is even funnier is that it works among the uneducated that constitute his audience. Next thing he will be shouting is that the Post Office is shutting down his mailing!
It may be that he has to resort to direct mail newsletters to spread his "news". Fine.
That was the way the world worked up until a short time ago...
OR, he can go on the Dark Web or open up on one of this channels, etc
You'd think GAB would host him!
Bottom like is his audience and revenues will be hit by 80 or 90%, so now he has lost his wife, his mind and his money....with much more to come once some of the lawsuits against him are settled.

CompuServe was not a website,it wasnt even the first online service. That would be QuantumLink or Tymnet if you consider that a "service"
That sounds rather Fascist. All that is needed is the Hitler stash...
No different from what you and Trump have expressed about every news organization except FOX. Everything is fake news to you guys, as long as they try to give some information that is counter what Trump wants people to believe. Thankfully, some of us are not so gullible as to buy what he is selling.
If you want something that sounds Fascist and Dictatorial, here you go:
Oh, sweet lord. Is this a DOS attack? That has happened to a LOT of websites in the past. This isn't anything dramatic if you know even an ounce about the workings of the internet.

why would anyone want to? He admitted as much in Divorce Court and his Recent Deposition that its all a scam , that its just about money , all finding a nitch of people to pay him for spinning tales ...hahahaha
I am a bit baffled as to why anyone would fight so hard for what he himself has admitted was "for entertainment value only."

That truly would be ironic.

Baffles me too. Infowars should be on the checkout line at the grocery store, right next to The Star, National Enquirer, and all of those rags. I'm sure Alex Jones has his copies on his nightstand so he can do "research" for his little show.
