Of course there are some of us who aren't a republican or a democrat so aren't taking 'sides'....and want the entire system blown up. I admire Manchin because he had the guts to vote for Kavanaugh and at the same time tell Schumer & Pelosi to stick it.

If the 2020 race came down to Trump& Biden I could find much to admire in both men.
Trump has helped engineer an economic boom and is attempting to carry out the campaign promises on which he was elected. He's also pursued a different foreign policy and has sought to avoid confrontation as much as he can.
Biden strikes me as an amiable and decent man showing none of the hypocrisy of the screeching Bernie Sanders.
I quite like Nancy Pelosi for being a gutsy old crow and I have Nikki Haley down as the USA's first female POTUS.

Trump didn't build that. In fact with trade war talks he could ruin any gains that have gone up during his presidency. Just look at the market with his renewed talks of Chinese tariffs. Not that China isn't a problem, but we live in too much of a globalised and interdependent economy that putting tariffs and economic isolationist policy like Trump is peddling (though in his own business he isn't) is cutting off the nose to spite the face.

I don't admire any Democrats that I can think of.

If you would have just paused before rushing in headlong to attack Trump you would have noticed I didn't write that Trump built that.
I wrote that he helped engineer it.
It is ludicrous to suggest that the economy and stock markets are doing so well in spite and not because of Trump.
In any event this is a thread about finding qualities to admire in political opponents - there are lots of other opportunities on here to display your partisanship.

Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucininch, Glenn Greenwald, Matt Taibbi & Julian Assange are all progressives who walk-the-walk. I don't agree with their politics, but I respect their honesty & their integrity.

Without party loyalty, the biggest side I see is money. I don't know anyone who is both wealthy and admirable.
