Was watching a documentary about the 2008 election and saw clips of Obama in Middle America wearing a John Deer hat. It's just comical, a Harvard cokehead trying to relate to the average Joe. Reminded me of Trump wearing coal miner hats. Energetic rallies with lots of Red, White and Blue colors. The McCain-Palin color scheme was Yellow, White and Blue. Interesting because Hillary's was Light Blue, White and Dark Blue. I wonder if a presidential candidate has ever won w/out having Red, White and Blue color scheme.

Lots of candidates have won with red, white and blue graphics. But lots of candidates have lost using the same colors, too.

So much political signage is red, white and blue that the candidate that uses other colors stands out in the crowd. That's why more national candidates are using colors that are distinctly their own more and more.

It's also the reason why so many flags are now being seen on the podiums. The flag is the strongest symbol that uses those colors, so many flags allows the use of other colors in the signage.
