Wow, what an important societal milestone. Men had never desired to look at scantily clad (or non-clad) lesbians before.

Because SI is making a big deal out of it. Why didn't they just say hey check out this ripped soccer player? Doesn't she look great in a bikini?

"Rapinoe told SI she agreed to the shoot in hopes she could spark meaningful conversation about the LGBTQ community and help break down stereotypes.

“I think it’s really quite a bold statement by Sports Illustrated to be honest because it has been seen as sort of this magazine only for heterosexual males,” Rapinoe told the magazine."

But no. Has to be identified to prove [insert PC intersectionality libralism SJW LGBT tolerance soundbyte]

When will "gay people" be just "people"? Isn't that the point?

Go back a few posts where someone points out that they picked a hot gay lady and not a regular one.

There are tons of hot gay women. The point is you probably never realized it bc you assumed things about their sexuality bc they were hot.

Whatever her reasons for agreeing or their reasons for offering, Rapinoe rocks the buhjeezus out of a bikini. End of the day, the swimsuit issue is acceptable, mainstream softcore pornography and she's hot enough to ogle.

Okie doke, political/culture statement...blah blah blah. Whatevs, she's got a smoking body. Good for her.

NAMBLA would approve of that.

Why mention that she's gay? Why is that the selling point?

Would they have picked her if she wasn't gay?

Rule #1: Don't assume anything about posters.

Exactly how many of us feel. Why suddenly is there so much emphasis on sexual orientation?

Well, at least she's an athlete. SI Swimsuit is just sort of odd in that it has very little to do with sports. Some of the models are athletes, but even there traditionally they've been of a specific look which was more what it was about than anything to do with sports. Rapinoe doesn't have that look. But then it's also just getting more diverse as it includes obese models now as well. I mean, if they found some Olympic lifter to use as an obese model that might make some sense but, yeah, SI Swimsuit is strange.

Trans already done? Or next? You know they’re going there. Im guessing mag sales are down. Nothing to lose.
