I lived in NYC and heard many foreign languages daily on the street. I live in Austin and hear Spanish almost daily in various situations. never a problem! there are lots of people living or visiting in American cities.
I don't like to press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish. this is America...we speak English. all americans should be required to speak at least minimal English!

2018 exit polls show greater white support for Democrats
2018 exit polls show markedly reduced Republican support among white males without college degrees (from a -48 D-R margin in 2016 to -34 in 2018), and increased support for Democrats among white college educated women (from a +7 D-R margin in 2016 to +20 in 2018)
This doesn't come as much of a surprise but it's troubling nonetheless. But time moves forward and whether everyone likes it or not, we will be living in an increasingly diverse society, regardless of whether or not everyone is comfortable with that.
BS poll!
results intended to support dem narrative of their faux tolerance and superiority over repubs.
Your link does say that nearly half of white republicans would be at least somewhat bothered to hear a non-English language spoken in public.
Specifically, it says that 20% of white republicans would be bothered a lot by that.
27% would be bothered some.

That's 47%. Nearly half.

WaPo is indeed accurate.
Sure, they cherry picked one statistic out of a big report that did not arrive at that overall conclusions.
We know what you guys and WaPo, which yanked you chain said. You want to call Republicans racist. It's not any more complicated than that. Yet the report cited, did not draw that conclusion.
Bottom line. It's WaPo yanking the chain of the easily influenced. The ones who are guilty of the very thing which they attempt to accuse.
Right?
