Trump tariff is more about attacking and fighting China, with little or no concern to American economy.

China actually will be just fine. It wants more trade and business but will be just fine without. China's exports to US account about 20% of their worldwide export volume. Losing a few percents of that 20% would mean tiny. President Xi is working on building Belt and Road linking Far East with Europe to create an Eurasia economic zone to marginalize the geopolitical importance of American continent.

China is also working on replacing the US dollar role as world trade currency with its own currency RMB Yuan. After all, with American trade policies, there is little contribution to world trade, high inflation erodes dollar value, constantly bickering what trade is "fair" with everyone in the world. It would make a lot of sense to the world not to use Dollar. Russia, Iran, Venezuela and OPEC mideast have been wanting oil contract settlement in non-dollar currency.

Trump protectionism and isolationism goal may be achieved after all.

I've been noting this for a long time and this will advance that.

But not all the bike parts are made in the US. Their website even states that it is impossible to make a 100% US bike with all US components.

It's not that easy, but one has to believe that the "globe" is getting sick and tired of US bullying with economic sanctions, tariffs etc that are disruptive, expensive, and ineffective. If our objectives can not be advanced through negotiation and we must resort to threats and economic warfare that is causing pain across the planet, maybe we should reconsider.

Everyone buys stuff made in China. You might not intentionally buy Made in China but if you buy manufactured stuff, even if it was assembled in the USA, some of it is likely to be made in China.

The Tariffs are temporary. A bargaining tool to get China and other trade partners to lower, or eliminate their tariffs to level the playing field. The U.S. has been treated unfairly for decades and we've lost jobs, and manufacturing because of it. Trump knows that China needs our markets more than we need there. He's NEGOTIATING, yet Libs want to cave right away and give up the opportunity for LONG TERM GAINS. Take the short term pain Libs. It is TEMPORARY.

Yes, just more Trump hate.

You or your source, or both, are completely dishonest about this. I saw Kudlow on the Chris Wallace show, and he said both pay, which is true.

You would be as wrong as you can be, if you are trying to peddle the notion that the nation applying the tariffs is the one that pays the punishment.

Here's one example. The E.U. applied a tariff on US ethanol imports, it sure as hell was not put in place to punish E.U. ethanol producers, or E.U. members.

EU imposes punitive tariff on U.S. ethanol
