Australia has just completed their national general elections. The ruling center right coalition was predicted to lose by virtually EVERYBODY in the mass media and in the polls. But yet again, the left dominated media hacks and the pollsters got it wrong.

This result is reminiscent of so many elections and campaigns that we have seen around the world in recent years, not least of which was President Trump's victory over Hillary Clinton and the Democrat left in the 2016 elections here in the US. Likewise the Australian people decided to defy the propaganda narratives of their media "Betters" and vote center right PM Scott Morrison back into office, and also to send packing the prematurely celebrating Australian Labor Party and their media supporters.

Quote:
Australia's conservative coalition scores stunning political victory in general election, defies polls forecasting loss

Australia’s ruling conservative coalition defied polls and scored a stunning political victory in the country’s general election on Saturday, with the main opposition party officially conceding the defeat. Opposition leader Bill Shorten called Prime Minister Scott Morrison to congratulate him on the election victory. He told Labor party supporters that his party didn’t win enough seats to form a coalition government.

Morrison used his victory speech to thank “quiet Australians” who led the coalition to the stunning political victory. “It's Australians who have worked hard, started a business, started a family, bought a home,” he said. “These are the quiet Australians who have won a great victory tonight.”

The conservative Liberal-National Party coalition is reportedly on course to win 74 seats in the 151-seat lower parliamentary house, with 65 seats to Labor and 12 undecided.
Next week the EU will hold the EU Parliamentary elections across Europe. Do not be surprised to see similar results in those elections.

The point is not that they got it wrong, rather the real issue is they interfered and attempted to manipulate the election and influence voters (which is exactly what US Media does).

This is what they do on a routine basis in all Western countries, as far as I am aware. They are so breathtakingly arrogant that they cannot conceive it is even possible that everyone does not either think like them from the start, or that they will be quickly convinced to agree with them when they see how unreservedly wonderful these people are when they push their narratives at them.

In any case, the people are not buying the leftist media propaganda narrative and they are thinking for themselves, to at least some significant degree. The leftists just do not know what to think or do about that.

And meanwhile, these "unexpected" losses just keep piling up.

Apparently there are people in this nation who don't know what the role of the media is. Incredible.

Not sure which side that you are on because of the brevity of your statement, but the "role" of the media in this country has been self-anointed as the the propaganda wing of the Democrat party. It is largely similar throughout the western world, and the point of this thread is that Australia joins Trump, Brexit, Italy and a host of others as a matter which the waterboys unintentionally or intentionally got wrong.

They continue to be stunned to discover that their practice of aggressively calling people names that draw parallels with Nazi holocaust deniers does not cause those people to want to vote for them.

Weird, huh?

“In the national interest, a short while ago, I called Scott Morrison to congratulate him.”

"In the National interest" ......the "National Interest" is sadly lacking among the Leftist Media and Leftist Democrats in the USA. They only care about THEIR interest - the rest of the Nation can go suck an egg as far as they are concerned.

Morrison used his victory speech to thank “quiet Australians” who led the coalition to the stunning political victory.

“It's Australians who have worked hard, started a business, started a family, bought a home,” he said. “These are the quiet Australians who have won a great victory tonight.”

It was the "quiet Americans" who won a Victory in 2016 - that's why the Leftists hate us so much.
It's not really Donald Trump they fear and hate - it is those "quiet Americans" that finally stood up and said -- "We are FED-UP" and now will ignore you.

My sister-in-law, an Australian citizen living in NSW, is beside herself with anger. Which frankly, makes me laugh. She was an annoyingly smug critic of the 2016 election, and took every opportunity to share how smarter Australians are, and how their politics are so different, etc etc etc. Muwaahahaha. A little schadenfeuede today.
