No shortage of people put their faith before nationalism.
No one has pushed harder to use US schools to proselytize religion, specifically some brands of Christianity and make it a state religion.
Despite the push, an increasing number of people do not identify with any organized religion.
While many traditional religious holidays continue to be observed, it’s a cultural, rather than a religious, observance.
Kids can pray in school. Whether Christian, Jewish or Muslim. The school, however, cannot initiate it. They cannot initiate Muslim prayer, Christian prayer, Jewish prayer, or any other prayer. And if they did, then, yes, the liberal left would protest.

Well, there's been lots of teaching that the Christian God is the one true God too. Don't hear any protests about that. This nonsense shouldn't be taught in public schools. How about we stick with education and teach kids critical thinking and reasoning skills? God knows this country needs it because ignorance is just way too rampant these days.
Wow a 30 year old video clip of something that is never going to happen !
Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel.
It's not the quality of garbage they post...it's the quantity. It is easy to see that the right is instructed to just overwhelm the various communication venues and outlets with anything and everything so that low information and ignorant folks do no know what to believe and cannot keep up. The more red herrings out there, the more people will be distracted from how much criminality is in the GOP.
The fix is easy. Get politicians and their reprehensible ideas out of education.
dont your kids deserve better?
Exactly.
And the easiest way to get politicians and their reprehensible ideas out of your kid's education is to simply take your kids out of the public system and take charge of educating them properly according to your own educational goals.
Home school. Private school. Online free academies. Lots of ways to avoid the abomination that is public education, and provide your kids with invaluable lessons they would otherwise not be learning.
Easiest way to stop government is to avoid them and deny them your participation.
How about when we teach children about Christianity and Judaism and make them do prayers?
Is that ok?
It's okay to teach children about Christianity and Judaism. In fact, we already do that. We teach them about the Crusades. We teach about the Puritans and how they fled Europe to come to America. We teach about the Quakers, the Shakers, the Mormons. We don't force anyone to pray. Your claims of otherwise are, for lack of a better description, tripe.
