LOL. I'll tell my mom, who has lived in Manhattan her entire adult life, or my dad in San Francisco, or my friends raising kids in an apartment in Singapore, or the friends doing the same in Barcelona. Or myself, who has only lived in cities and has no desire to move to the suburbs.

A white picket fence or living without seeing other people isn't everyone's goal in life.

Cities of all sizes should address the lack of affordable housing for its residents. I see more apartment complexes being built in our local area and am glad to see it. I have twin millennial sons who have been in the market for an affordable apartment and it was pretty easy for them to find something they could share and afford on their salaries. But these cities must realize that infrastructure and schools will be affected by the zoning changes and must be addressed as well. It is irritating to me that we live on 5 acres and I am so restricted as to what I can build on my own damn property, now I am not talking about blight but actual helpful MIL quarters or other such things that are helpful to families.
