That is the truth, if not the U S another country would have stepped in and sold arms. No doubt the U S is the biggest war monger on the planet and I think Yemen is part of a bigger strategy for some kind of attack on Iran.

Some rather large holes in our government when a president an declare a national emergency to provide arms to a foreign country and send troops without making the case. We are learning where all the problem areas are under this president.

That is the bigger issue of how Trump is using and coming up with ideas to declare a national emergency and over stepping congress. Not long ago the right complained about Obama and his use of executive orders to over step congress. With the country and the congress so divided how is a POTUS to lead? some might call both the actions of Trump/Obama abuse of the executive branch and others would say they are using their power they are entitled too.

Deep down I think our leaders in congress love the POTUS taking executive action because it is a smoke screen for them to hide behind. Congress is on record against the sale but Trump uses national emergency and does it anyway. Now does anyone doubt that the Saudi"s were going to get those weapons? All fingers point to Trump and the leaders can say they voted against the sell that killed people in Yemen.

Trump gets all the blame, just like Obama took all the blame on his EO actions but the leaders in congress are off the hook at least that is what they can tell their voters.

Yes, those arms will be used to kill more people in Yemen and we will be complicit. Every single president (and Trump certainly isn't the only one) should stop arming the Saudis.

Actually that graphic looks ONLY at small arms and ammunition - and the ONLY reason the US imports more than it exports is because of CIVILIAN sales. Americans LOVE foreign small arms and ammo. On the military side we export 6-7 TIMES what we import in small arms and ammo.
Look at (and adjust) the boxes on the lower right side:

And as far as HEAVY WEAPONS go, we are the largest exporter on the PLANET - wayyyyyyy ahead of anyone else - more than Russia (#2) and China (#3) COMBINED.
