Like it or not, most Catholics feel a heck of a lot more stronger about the need to ban all abortion than doing something serious about pedophile priests.
It isn't just a Catholic belief since the televangelists of the 1980's had similar issues and many were forgiven as well. This goes back to having the sinner, not the sin which is reverse of what the Good Book says.

I do agree few Catholics still attending view Pedophilia as a serious problem, especially in light of the studies of professionals like Richard Sipe, which showed a disproportionate problem amongst RCC priests.
Actually--no--Dems do not "love" abortions. They "love" choice (you know freedom? USA?). Apparently the OP would like to control everyone.
And, no, Dems do not have to listen to the pope. Not in the least. I am not even sure American catholics "listen" to the pope. Why would they?
Does the pope have anything to say about Steve King's pronouncement that without rape and incest, the world would not exist? What does the pope think about that?
He is right. Abortion loving Dems need to wake up and listen to the Pope. The Pope is the moral leader of the world and his teachings must be adhered to, even by far left.
I'm not Catholic and I have had some issues with this Pope on his economic / redistribution theories, but he's 100% right on this one. Liberals who were hoping that a left wing Pope might eventually give the OK to kill your kid - are sadly mistaken.
