Reading comprehension! The accusation is from 35 years ago.

Why am I waiting for it? Who is Robbins and why do or should I care? Heck, I've heard every member of my family use that word....and yet I still love them.

Let me correct this for you:

White Americans are the biggest supporters of rap music today within America (albeit not as a percentage of their population), actually among all four racial groups, Rap is one of the top 2 most popular music genres and is currently the most popular genre in the world. Why do white Americans support rap music if they believe that the n-word is a bad word. The same reason many black Americans support rap music. Context matters, and while i'm not of this belief in this case skin color and the fact that music is an art-form allows a word like that to be both seen as a bad word and a word that is in many, many rap songs.

Young people are shielded from words and told they can go to safe spaces and get therapy if words bother them. Which message is more empowering?
I certainly did not hear anything he said as being racist or bigoted. He seemed to be saying to the audience (which I assume had some black people in it), don't allow names to define or control you. If someone calls you such names, rise above it.

So you prove my point. African Americans support the rap music genre. Thank you.

Also, the N word is frequently used in the African American community, particularly by young African Americans.

The thing is this now. The Left in America will hunt down people if any indiciation of evidence that one said something racist or did a sexist act. Racist, bigot, sexist, homophobe, xenophobe, islamophobe and so on.

Starting to delve into divisive rhetoric?

The tape is 35 years old. The intent was clear. Do not giveother people’s words power over you.

Only thing any of us control is our own reaction. Yet most would rather focus on controlling other people, than their own reactions.
