No I'm not... as evidenced by the judge's ruling in Huckabee's quiet title filing.

This is why I support people breaking things. Someone needs to pull a Tony Soprano on Huckabee. Dock out in the ocean and blast the music. Preferably something from Marilyn Manson.

This is not true at all.

There are many states and cases where the beach belongs to no one.....and just because a Judge makes a mistake does not mean it is "yours".

That is ridiculous.....

It's really a state issue but most states do not want beach to be privatized. Maybe billionaires have tried to fight for these "rights" and many have lost eventually.

The story is very real (no fake news involved) and shows the disdain that the new Royalty (funny how a loser becomes Royalty) thinks of people who are....well, just like they WERE.

A telling email from Huckabee about his beach house.....
"he explained in an email to a state senator years later, “Having grown up dirt poor in Arkansas, I never thought I’d see saltwater in person, much less live on a beach.”

And here is an older story about how the GOP is trying to "fix" things - from the Tampa Bay Times
https://www.tampabay.com/florida-pol...ch-access-law/

I mean - while we are this "private property" game, why not sell the shallows in all the bays and the ocean? It's very easy to build houses and developments in those......money and taxes could be gained?

There is absolutely no reason not to allow me to buy a sand bar 100 feet out and develop it...at least in the world of Deep Hypocrites.

Somebody called Florida Animal Rescue and reported a beached whale on Huckabee's beach. Turned out it was just Sarah sunning herself.

Probably a noise ordinance - but they could do it before a certain time of night!

Hey, can we crowd fund some things like this? We could also do some choice BBQ or fish head stew on our pontoon boat when the wind is blowing just the right way.....

Prediction. Huck will not live there in five years. He will learn the same lessons many others have. I have some wealthy friends that live on the beach. Guess what? Partiers rent the giant houses overlooking theirs and drink, curse, scream, play music and party. The, the next week, another group arrives.

That is the reality of most beachfront living. If one wants real peace, move inland. Even then, it's tough.

BTW, that part of Florida has a humorous nickname: Redneck Riviera

In Florida all beach front property owners have what are called riparian or littoral rights. They have non-exclusive access to the mean high water line. This does not mean they own the beach property or can keep people off this property.

As way of illustration and I will only give basic information, in the area of Florida I lived an individual tried exactly what Huckabee tried only by buying tax deeds.

He failed.

Now this before passage of HB 631. The law is under appeal.

If Florida wants to own the beaches, they will have to stop titling and taxing to the mean high water line... til then, the beach belongs to Huckabee.

You are wrong. All Florida beach front home owner residents have non-exclusive rights to the mean high water line. The homeowners does not own it. See post 26. Subject to HB 631.

Huckabee is no different from these hypocrites. Every one is a taker except them.

I had to laugh when I read that article. I know folks just like them.
Growing up in a beach town, so do I.

Which year (rising sea levels) and which moon cycle does he exactly own to?

Being a sailor and having a beach I can walk to, I see differences of 50 feet or more....easily....depending on many factors.

How about the sand we all pay for (army corp of engineers, etc. replenishes) .......should they just replenish down near the water and allow a giant gully to develop??

It's somewhat humorous because these folks are going to own less every year...or would except for taxpayers and the billions we will spend keeping these places in existence.

One thing you have right. Florida and "what is right" have absolutely nothing to do with one another. Florida does what it gets paid to do and the residents can.....well, actually they can't, pound sand.

This too will change someday. The peasants will tire of those whom Murdoch has anointed.
