Not sure what, if anything, this means. Maybe that Democrats are willing to attend to longer news items with more information and depth?
Twitter Isn’t Real Life (if You’re a Democrat)
By Michelle Goldberg
On Twitter during late 2015 and early 2016, Donald Trump’s front-runner status was evident, even if it hadn’t yet fully sunk in with the tribunes of conventional wisdom. Trump’s following far outstripped his rivals. His tweets drove news cycles, and channeled the resentments of a furious base...
Yet when it comes to Democratic politics, Twitter is proving a lot less influential.
I wouldn't be surprised.....to find this partially true.
For example, I've been active online since 1986 and in forums, community, social media, etc for many decades...and yet would generally stay away from Twitter. If my peers do the same...and many would...then the stats would eventually show it.
It's a great platform for spreading BS and piling up on people...doxxing them, etc
Twitter is a great platform for name calling and putting out disinformation in 280 character poison pen (or keyboard) diatribes. The only time I read it is when it gets quoted in a lengthier (and more rewarding) discussion. tRump is welcome to remain king there - just one more reason to avoid it.
I don't use Twitter it seems to be intellectually bereft.
